Make It Official: Tennessee Went 8-5 This Season

Who says we would have stopped Purdue in overtime had the officials not blown the call? Purdue played it close to the vest in overtime because they knew they only needed 3 to win and they had a very good kicker.
If the refs had called the defensive holding on our final drive in regulation, OT likely never would have even happened.

Considering that Tillman was held within a few yards of the LOS, it still would have been a long 40+ yard FG. Not a gimme at all for our kicker, especially on a wet, sloppy field.
It was defensive holding and not PI. Would have been 10 yard penalty and automatic first down. Defensive holding is not a spot foul.

He held him for so long it could have been both......depends on when they threw the flag. (But yeah, the right call would have been holding).

That is true. He did hold him a loooooong time. Made me that much sicker that he was held for so long and the ref didn’t “see it”.

Any PI less than 15 yards is a spot foul in college, correct? That DB had Tillman's jersey less than 5 yards into the route (and held it for the next 5-8 yards).

We had our chances, we got screwed over but we lost. Move on to 2022.
Pass interference yes, holding is 10 yard penalty
