I don't put much stock in such things, but he also has a national coach of the year award and was president of whatever they call the coaches organization, IIRC.

Both of those look good on a resume.

I was looking at it earlier in Wikipedia... he won two Football Writer Coach of the year awards (1973 and 1976).

I should have been more specific--I was referring to Fulmer. I didn't know that about Majors. It should help his chances.
