I hadn't heard much about this, but thought it was really cool and a GREAT idea from Kiffin and Co. In fact, they probably learned as much as anyone! :) (From TOS):

GUEST SPEAKER

"Since Lane Kiffin took over the program, former Tennessee head coach has been a familiar figure on the practice field. He was a near constant presence in the spring and has continued to pop up from time-to-time this fall.

Not surprisingly, when looking for someone to give his young team a history lesson on the Alabama-Tennessee series, Kiffin invited Majors in to speak to the team.

"It was pretty neat today. Coach Majors came in and we had him speak to them about the history and tradition of this match-up," Kiffin said of the scene.

"He told some phenomenal stories to the guys and they were very motivated by him. For a guy who hasn't coached for awhile he can still grab an 18-year old's attention. We love having him around."

I am glad to see CJM being associated with the program again. I was one of those calling for his head all those years ago when he got replaced. But I have slowly come around to seeing him as the real deal, a true son of UT who got treated pretty poorly by the school and by many of us fans. Welcome back Johnny! I truly am sorry.

Majors gave us the greatest upset of my life when we beat Miami in the Sugar Bowl (85?)

Maybe they could let Majors be on the sideline for the game and let him call a late time out to rub it in on Bama when we are leading by 10 with 30 seconds to go in the game!!!!

Hummmm....had this vision of his speech.

"Men.....when Bear walks out of the tunnel and the crowd roars, don't let that bother you, he is human just like us, and remember, it just takes 3 to win this thing. A strong D and a good kicking game will win this thing for us"

....musta been a bad dream!
