256 players at once? i would have to experience it to believe it. i would think lag would be an issue.

I've read a bit about this game, but not much. However, the last article I skimmed through was from a week ago and they had been to the developer. According to the devs, Q&A testing on 256 player matches had been happening for awhile and they are pretty confident in the ability.

I think that many people would be crazy.

i wonder how you can get signed up on the beta for this? if this game has minimal lag, it could be the game to replace COD. a tall order i know, but it looks impressive.

I really like the idea behind it, but having to depend on 255 other players having a good connection scares me. Beta will speak volumes for this game!

very true. if this works, it will be epic. the maps must be enormous to support 256 people. it's really unchartered waters. i am guessing voice support will be out, unless its within your platoon and some kind of click to talk type thing.

I used to rock Battlefield 1942 on 64 player servers - and that stuff got intense. I can't imagine a D-Day map with 4 TIMES as many ppl!! Pure chaos!

hard to do, considering a new COD will be coming out in November.

yeah nothing can ever truly replace cod. this game has as good a chance as i have seen tho. i guess with all these people playing at once it could get to be a snipe fest. i cannot wait to give it a try.

with such large maps, I bet vehicles will play a large role. Dogfights!

the possibilities seem endless. tanks, planes, you could even be shooting as you parachute in.

i know there aren't many ps3 users on here, but i figured i'd bump this up to see if anyone had an extra beta code they may come off of since they are handing them out with preorders now. pm me...

from everything i have read sony is hosting the servers, so there are no independant hosts like cod. i am very skeptical of how good this game will be. everything i have read seems to imply that lag is a non issue. we'll see.
