Maddest you have been after a game?

This one is easy...

1992 Arkansas game.

A petulant Johnny Majors rushed back from a heart attack to take the reigns of a Vols team that upset #14 UGA and #4 UF under Phil Fulmer. He took a National Championship team and flushed it down the toilet with his game mismanagement. He punted the ball on THIRD down for goodness sake. He then went on to lose to the eventual National Champion bammers 10-7 at home. If that were not enough, we go to lowly SCar (who would eventually end up 5-6) and loose. To make things worse, they were filming scenes for the movie "The Program", so you couldn't even leave the stadium because the Scar fans would not move.

There is much debate about Fulmer stabbing Majors in the back, etc etc. Majors committed career suicide because he was jealous of what Fulmer was accomplishing. I will never blame Fulmer for taking over for Majors. We had a team that could have won a championship, but Majors put his needs ahead of the teams. He broke rule 1 of football.

2015 UF. I just ran to my bedroom and threw myself on the bed. Buried my head in the pillow and just laid there for like an hour. That was pain.

I am going to rank the ones I attended. They seemed to sting more.
1990 Alabama You never forget your first gut punch (as I was exiting gate 21, gentleman dropped dead from heart attack next to me. )
1991 Florida (whiskey bottle hit coaches wife 2 rows behind me, piss balloons and Kinkos Jack Sells faxgate game
1995 Florida
2001 SEC
15,17 Florida.

2001 SEC I believe wins out. The LSU fan in our group smuggled in 36 mini Jacks and a 1/5th into the Georgia Dome. (He was a big man but for the life of me to this day I can't believe how much he was able to smuggle ) And the12+ little dead soldiers at my feet were the only thing that slightly numbed the outright disgust.

2002 FLorida........was soaking wet and Clausen fumbled over and over and Florida played like it was not even raining.
Anyone else remember the Phil Fulmer show, Sunday after that game? They kept showing highlights of the ‘01 game.

Definitely the game against Bama when we somehow went toe to toe with them ill the end but JG went rogue on the goal-line and turned the ball over for an Alabama touchdown

2019 Georgia State / 2022 South Carolina / 2008 Wyoming / 2011 Kentucky / 2005 Vanderbilt / 1996 Memphis are all similar levels of pain, imo. Losses to Bama or Florida were more expected than painful most seasons, truth be told.

2001 SEC Championship is by far the most painful because we were beating Miami for a ship if that catastrophe hadn't occurred.
2008 Wyoming game was surreal

I was 10 years old in the hospital with walking ammonia during the time. Team was shocked because we were firing Fulmer. I'll never forget that

As the title says, what is the maddest you have been after a game? For me, it was a toss up between the ‘01 LSU SEC CG and the ‘95 Florida game. Could possibly place the ‘90 or ‘92 Bama games in there but for me, it’s between the first two.
Either 2017 Florida or 2022 South Carolina. I was probably madder in 2017 as I was more purely in shock in 22 vs Uscjr. Games i was at in person would have to be 2021 ole Miss tho

That 2019 BYU ending was infuriating but it’s probably the game we left the UF WR alone and they beat us on that long pass (2015?). In person, probably that first time Spurrier came in here with an inferior SC team and whipped us on Halloween. It was a close score but we were whipped physically. They flat out wanted it more and we played like a team that thought they could just roll out there and win.

When that Jabari dude or whatever his name is for UF caught the ball in the end zone for a millisecond and dropped it and it was counted as a TD to win the game.

Once walked out of The Swamp after a tough loss and had somebody pour a cup of piss on me as I walked down the ramp. Doesn't get much worse than being stuck in Gainesville after a loss soaked in pee pee.

2010 Music City Bowl, 2012 Florida, 2013 Vandy, 2014 Florida, 2015 Oklahoma, 2016 South Carolina

Dooley and Butch broke my spirit a bit and I no longer get angry over losses. Just a bit perturbed/depressed for a few hours.

1990 Alabama game was probably the maddest I have been after a game. We had far superior talent but lost 9-6 when our field goal was blocked and they recovered the ricochet and kicked the winning field goal.

That 1990 season had other wacky endings starting with the Game 1 tie against Colorado. Our last play (run the ball from midfield) to end the game. The ND game with us driving to win the game only to throw an interception in the endzone.

I’m keeping it simple…In 2015 we let Florida turn a 4th and 16 into a 59 yard TD with 52 seconds left in the game. This was after Butch earlier misread his cheat sheet and kicked the PAT by mistake instead of going for 2. BTW, on the aforementioned 4th and 16 Butch put two spies on Will Grier to keep him from running for 16 yards. We’re talking Will Grier here. Then, once we get the kickoff with 52 seconds, after one or two plays, Butch argues with the refs with the clock ticking thinking the clock was stopped. With no TO’s we get backed up 5 yards and barely miss a 53 yard GW FG.

One of the first games I remember watching was the 92 Fiesta Bowl. At one point we had outgained Penn State about 400 to 50 yds but only up 17-7 in the 3rd. Then the team decided seasons over and in about 10 min it’s 42-17

Didn’t watch it but the 1990 bama game if I did likely would be #1.

1996 Florida. #2 Tennessee with a chance to go to #1 since Nebraska lost to Arizona State on the road.

35-0 at halftime. Both teams had equal talent, but Spurrier ran laps around Fulmer that day.
Great answer! Nebraska literally gave us the playbook to beat Florida with and our coaching staff didn't pay a bit of attention. It's called a zone blitz Phil! You know, it's what they are doing to Peyton when we have the ball!
