I remember that game. I was still living at home. Two months before I moved out. I was sick in bed but watching the game in my room. My Dad was watching the game in the living room. When we stopped LSU and looked like we won, I was so happy. I heard my Dad yelling "HOT DAMN, WE DID IT!!! WE WON!!!" Then when they threw the flag, I heard him yell "SON OF A F***ING BITCH!!!" I was too sick to yell anything. But I was not happy. And my Dad was livid.2010 LSU. I never remember being that angry after a game.
That was one for me. But honestly, the game next year in 1996 at home where Manning threw three picks and Florida built up a 35-0 lead in the first half. We dominated the second half by scoring 29 unanswered points. But Florida had the ball in the last possession and couldn't stop them and ran out the clock. That game pissed me off even more. If we beat Florida, we'd gone to the SEC Championship game and possibly be in the Sugar Bowl against Florida State for the National Championship. For me, it will always be 1995. Florida 62 Tennessee 37. Tennessee leads 30 to 14 and then gives up 48 unanswered points.
I was mad, too. But we took out their starting QB Rohan Davey, who was a pro style QB. Their backup Matt Mauck was a running option QB. They used the QB draw on us and other option plays we didn't prepare for and couldn't stop. That was the game that put LSU on the map and exposed Fulmer as a Head Coach.2001 LSU, and it really isn't close. Win a game with a loaded roster and the lead at the half against a mediocre backup QB who couldn't throw and we have a shot at a national championship. Most frustrating second half I can ever remember watching.
Pig's fumble was 2013.99 Florida screw the snap count, that stupid toss sweep at the end
00 Florida, ran all over their ass five fgs
08 Ucla, alot went wrong, their qb threw 4 ints Neuheisel and Chow thinking they are genuises for the win
10 Lsu, whole team comes out to the field for the last play
14 Georgia, pigs fumble
14 Florida, 10-9 again three field goals
15 Florida, owned them all game including a few good trick play calls by Debord, then 4th down disasters.
Exactly. After that game, Saban and LSU were on the rise and we went on a damn free fall.Agreed. That Miami team was absolutely lethal. The importance of that win was more of slowing down, what would become, Sabans elite run. We were the beginning of his story. Us losing that game was a giant tide shift for the program.
