Maddest you have been after a game?

As the title says, what is the maddest you have been after a game? For me, it was a toss up between the ‘01 LSU SEC CG and the ‘95 Florida game. Could possibly place the ‘90 or ‘92 Bama games in there but for me, it’s between the first two.

2019 Georgia State / 2022 South Carolina / 2008 Wyoming / 2011 Kentucky / 2005 Vanderbilt / 1996 Memphis are all similar levels of pain, imo. Losses to Bama or Florida were more expected than painful most seasons, truth be told.

2001 SEC Championship is by far the most painful because we were beating Miami for a ship if that catastrophe hadn't occurred.

Doubt we beat Miami but it certainly would've been a more competitive game than Nebraska gave them.

2001 Miami had 7 players drafted. We had 6 players drafted. 2002 Miami had 11 players drafted. We had 8 drafted. There's this weird revisionist history surrounding 2001 Miami because they had a lot of underclassmen who ended up being really good and getting drafted later on. The problem is only 1 running back plays at a time. You were just facing Clinton Portis. The other running backs barely played that season. Half of those future NFL guys weren't contributing on the 2001 team aside from the practice squad. Sure you'd have to lock up Andre and contend with Shockey, but we matched up really well with them. I certainly think we win that game more than half the time. Of course, we beat LSU 9 out of 10 times if we play that game again, as well. Oh well.

I would say 2015 vs OU. That was totally inexcusable garbage and I could not believe what I was watching. I still think about it 11 years later, lol.

I’ve mellowed out a lot since then. Life’s too short to get angry over a sports game you have no control over, and the older I get the more I just say, “oh well” when we lose. But with that said, 2022 South Carolina had me heated afterwards in spite of this. I felt like throwing my TV into my pool by the end.

It was horrible. It's hard to believe a tie could feel worse than a loss.

The first game I thought of when I read the thread title was the '93 tie against Bama. So many chances to put that game away and we just kept them in it until they scored and got the 2-point conversion in the final seconds.

I'm glad we don't do ties anymore.

Before bowl game, Tennessee played 4 ranked teams, went 3-1 with a combined score of 97-91. Biggest differential was 26-18 over LSU at home.
Before bowl game, Miami played 4 ranked teams, went 4-0 with a combined score of 199-58. Biggest differential was 59-0 over Syracuse.

Could say Tennessee had a better win with beating Florida, but also had a terrible loss to a mediocre at best UGA team. Tennessee broke 40 once in the regular season, Miami six.
