There is only one time in my life I was so mad at the Vols I had to turn the tv off, I could watch no more! WOW what a huge huge mistake. It was our greatest comback ever. Notre Dame....Do any other Vol fans share any of those moments with me?

Yep. 2003 Peach Bowl. Luckily I was in New Orleans at the time. I promptly went to the nearest bar and had a rum and coke.

I can think of several games against UF that had me looking for reruns of "Three's Company".

I don't usually get that mad because I bring my booze with me. 2003 UGA-UT game, after the 95-yard fumble return to close out the first half, I simply unscrewed the top off my flask and proceeded to bear witness to the most unholy of beatings.

I felt like Pharoah beholding the seven plagues. The horror...

Thank God there was booze.

I would have turned that one off, but I was in the Dome:banghead2:

I was there the next year when we got worked by Clemson. The flask came in handy once again.

Consequently, I have banned myself from football games
at the Georgia Dome.

same here. thought by half time me and my buddy were doing tequila shots at one of the drink stands outside the gate, so the only thing i really remember after that was fighting with my future wife later that night...

so i guess that's like turning the TV off huh?:eek:lol:

2005 LSU. Had just moved into my new house. Got pissed and went outside to put up my mailbox. My cell phone rings and my brother-in-law is talking to me like I have seen it all. I hang up on him and walk inside to see the game clock at zero. I was upset to not have seen it but elated because one of my close friends is a very big LSU fan. Oh well I guess you live and learn.

I turned off the '06 Georgia game after we got behind. I hate losing to Georgia so I couldn't take any more. Much to my surprise we came back and walloped them pretty good. I also left the 1990 Notre Dame game after Rocket ran back that punt return. I learned that day to never, ever count Andy Kelly out of a ball game. He was clutch.

I left the 1998 Arkansas game early. I was walking through Gate 21 when Stoerner fumbled and never saw it.:fool: :cray:

i wasn't there, but i did get up and go outside to smoke. fortunately my roomate came out (who could care less about college football) and told me we got the ball back. So i got to see the replay of the fumble and the drive to win the game live, on TV.

but, i wouldn't feel too bad, i have a feeling you were not the only one that missed the ending of that game.

I actually watched that game again last night...there was nothing on TV, so my roommate and I decided to have some beers and relive the glory days. When I watched Billy recover that fumble last night, the hair on my arms stood up and I got chills(Gus Johnson with another incredible call for CBS)...Travis Henry would not be stopped on that final drive...it was an incredible game, and I never get tired of reliving classic performances like that.

Iv'e never been as pissed off as the 2001 Sec Championship game. I was so mad and at the same time depressed. I actually had a few tears run down my face because we had just lost the right to go to the National Championship. What a absolutely horrible day.:shakehead:

Yes, I was in the Georgia Dome for that SEC Championship as well as the 2 Peach Bowl debacles.

I keep telling myself that I will never pay to see UT play in the Georgia Dome again, but then in 2004, I was right back there to watch them play Auburn.

Apparently, I'm a glutton for punishment.

I don't know if I've ever completely turned the TV off during a game, but I do convince myself that if I close my eyes or don't watch that they'll do better. You know, cause the players can tell if I'm watching.

The 99 Florida game, when UT was absolutely loaded with talent was pretty hard to swallow. That pitch to Jamaal on 4th, was so uninspired. That took the wind out of the sails for that whole season IMO.
