Yep Mayfeild Brown. I think they are orginally from the Celina area. I went to school with Mayfield's daughter.

Mayfield was the superintendent when I was in elementary school...He stepped down I believe my freshman or sophomore year when Baggett came in

Mack Brown's father coached football for one year at Polk Co High School in the late 50's.

Nice to see some oneidians on here. I didn't realize that Mayfield was kin to Mack until I got out of school. Mack also has family that coaches at Lipscomb in Nashville.

From what i've heard Mack is straight up class.

My dad went to school with Mack in Cookeville. I've heard Mack say that he learned everything he knows about football from his brother watson. You would think the elder Brown would be able to lead Tech to a few more wins.
