hurt, will play Saturday...

"Fulmer said he expected senior middle linebacker Ellix Wilson and senior receiver Lucas Taylor to play at Georgia despite nagging shoulder injuries. Both were held out Saturday for precautionary reasons."...

I would gladly welcome Wilson. But, I think we're better off with Moore in the lineup.

If you look at Lucas's big games their against lesser comp. So I say let Moore see if he can produce against the big boys.

He's played against the big boys and not done anything. The last action he saw against "big boys" was dropping a critical pass that hit him in the hands.

I'm just saying let him play a whole game and see if he can produce. Because as freshman he started to come in the SEC Championship and the Bowl game. I think he and G.Jones with Lucas in the slot are our best options.

That actually doesn't sound too bad. I think Josh Briscoe needs reps, as well. The guy is averaging like 20 yards a touch, but he's only caught 6 passes.

The only thing with Briscoe I've been asking for him to produce big for years. But he has had some big moments for us lately. I guess I just don't trust him.

wow, just wow. taylor was our best reciever last year. not his fault that for 4 games he had to play w/ a qb who couldn't get him the dang ball. you've lost your mind

I noticed on an interview with Briscoe he had this gleam like........we have a QB who can get the ball to us........hope that happens for Saturday.....

Hard to catch passes from qb's that can't get you the ball. Taylor is decent, but not great! not a huge loss.

I have noticed that Lucas Taylor the bread and butter last year has been MIA (exception UAB Game). Then again with a friggin 7 WR rotation i guess it is all by chance

No one has proven to be better. Only Gerald Jones has even shown the potential to be better.

I think this statement is relative to the state of the program. Lucas Taylor in all aspects is an okay college receiver. At Tennessee we are to the point of settling for this type of player. Just blue-collar. I want NFL skilled receivers again like in the past. Moore, Paige, and Jones are the only ones with the potential. I'm not saying their NFL material right now but the potential is there. I would rather let that potential grow up on the field than watch someone catch a 10 yard pass and turn it into a 12 yard gain. I think with Stephens being able to stretch the field with his arm we could really have an offense if we started these receivers and Creer in the backfield. I liked what I saw out of Stephens he showed better pocket presence than Crompton in one game. He can only get better. So I would like to see him build a relationship with the younger receivers and explode next season.

I don't think deep routes are going to be a huge part of the game plan. Our offensive line isn't going to make that possible.

We've seen where handing a position to a player gets a team. The best players should play regardless of class, and Taylor has shown to be one of the two best on the roster.
