There's no denying the misses have grossly outweighed the hits. Pretending otherwise is just naive.
Plenty of people choosing to be naive. I didn't even mention guys still on the roster that I doubt will ever be developed enough to significantly contribute.

What about Addison Nichols? Masai Reddick? Savion Herring? Brian Grant? Mo Clipper? Vysen Lang? Ayden Bussell? Bennett Warren? Max Anderson?
I’m simply saying that 3/5 of this years line was signed from high school by CGE.

I also happen to not care where they come from as long as they’re good.

2 out of 5, not 3.

Heard came from LSU. Moe transferred in, forgot from where. Pendleton came from ND.

Sanders was a freshman "phenom", so it's not like Elarbee "developed" him.

I will absolutely credit Elarbee for Perry. That was a surprise.

That was the core OL.

Sham saw time, but I don't think he's ever lived up to his potential. Elarbee hasn't gotten it out of him.

There have been far more "misses" than "hits" for Elarbee.

So you’re saying Sham didn’t start multiple games? And how do you know if Sham hasn’t reached his potential?

When Sham started, Sanders was injured and Perry played RT. When Sanders played, Sham went to the bench and Perry went to guard. Heard, Moe, and Pendleton were all starters. That's 3/5 coming from the portal. Your math was off.

Add William Satterwhite to the heap of players not developed by Elarbee. Announced he's entering the portal.

Sanders is incredibly talented, but also incredibly raw.

I'm fine with not caring "where" they come from, but you should be concerned about how they play. They wilted against good teams this season. They played poorly in the bowl game. We've seen little to no progression on most of these guys. Elarbee is failing to develop.
Elarbee has not had a player drafted into the league since he's been here that I can recall.Maybe a couple who were already here when he started coaching.

Doesn’t have to be though in this era now. Every Final Four team has at least 2 transfer starting OL with Ole Miss and Oregon having 3. Our OL is no different than everyone else.

I have no doubt that Elerbe is weak at recruiting. I do push back a bit on his development because I think the OL has generally been a strength under Heupel. Scheme is part of the rushing yards, but we’ve had good lines.

Do most of these OL misses go on to perform well at next stop (I don’t keep up with players once they leave)? Or is it just that they are that bad at HS evals?
