I say sell the yard markers and the endzones. Say Wegman's buys the five yard line and the endzone belongs to Pilot. Keith's announcing could go... and Lewis is taken down at the Wegman 5. QB1 is back under center and the handoff to Lewis and he's into the Pilot EZ for 6. Speaking of 6 you can get your favorite beverage from Wegman's. Now for the extra point attempt and it's splits the McDonald's uprights, so forth and so forth
But only for TV! We need to keep the Vols radio coverage pure.

Hay!! They could sell adds for each square in the endzones!!!
🤑 into Pilot EZ painted with Sherman-Williams...Keith "Lewis is kneeling on his sponsor's square "fill in sponsor's name", that means a free whatever tomorrow at your nearest "sponsor"

Just listen to Lunford's Musical Store POTS play Rocky Top, great sponsorship

Volnation: I don't mind NIL deals as long as the player is actually selling something and not just getting paid.

Also Volnation: I don't think the school should use logos on the jerseys to actually sell something.

Meh, those Coke and water bottles sitting on the lectern and table for press conferences or the Food City or whatever interspersed with Power T in the background don't sit there for free.

It is what it is and has been.

Selling something? That’s why NIL is a joke - the initials of NIL actually have nothing to do with how players are getting paid. Very few are getting paid for advertisers using their name, image, and likeness. Most are just getting paid to show up to campus

People can't be pleased. Quality entertainment costs money.

They don't want to pay for carriage fees for TV, they don't want to pay for talent fee for seats, they don't want pay for collectives to help recruiting, etc.

Here's a chance to get sponsors to pay and they don't want that either.

WTF, people. Pay your share and when you have a chance to cut others in to pay some also, take it.

I just wish we could go back to the days of exploiting athletes, players being broke and taking shady money to get by, hoping for a chance to make real money in the league

It’s a professional minor league. Look at other minor leagues and expect the same to come to football.

I’m no prophet but this does seem glaring. A transformation into something very low in value might be coming.

MLB and NBA already do patch ads on jerseys and the NFL will likely also soon.

It's just the new ad trend for the big leagues so it's not really a low value thing, just more monetization for teams.

Edit: People were fine with this in the "good ol days" of NASCAR. I don't see an issue.
