If Dooley had done something like this people would have been upset because he threw players under the bus again. Just sayin.


And no I'm not a Dooley supporter by any means, just making an observation.

I'm guessing when you win a National title and have your team in the top 5 every year, people don't care.

Exactly what I thought. But as a Dooley supporter I'd get bashed for saying it so glad someone else did.

Yup! Takes time to get to this pt. though. I'm thinking right now Miles and Saban are the only 2 that could pull this off without worrying about recruiting backlash. Id maybe say Mack Brown could do it if he wasnt at the end of his time at UTx. If it goes viral though I'm thinking more coaches can do it and not worry about it. Hopefully it becomes a new norm.

When two coaches do the same act and one coach is considered to be throwing players under the bus and the other coach is considered to be motivating players. What does that tell you about the coaching?

Okay, I can see it now. Wow. That's awesome. Hey, when you got depth out the wazzoo you can afford to call out players. I like to see it done. If you come to Tennessee wanting us to help you, then if a little tough love is needed, then it's needed.

Can't help but notice that fully half that list of guys got "hurt" tonight on the final drive by Clemson and their "injuries" and overall lack of conditioning in part led to Clemson's comeback win. Perhaps if they had actually put the work in...
