LSU coming to Neyland

The only sure wins on our 2026 schedule right now are Furman, Kennesaw State, and MAYBE Kentucky.
KSU is in their conference championship game and is coached by Mack. He was CJH RB coach so he knows the offense also. Their QB is a Davey O'Brian semi-finalist. Luckily it will be a home game. Their stadium seats about 10,000.

Im loading up on essentials! Perhaps we could get a sponsor and the TN LSU game could be the official French's Mustard Bowl 😁

Mustard won’t even get noticed on LSU’s uniforms. It has to be ketchup.

Great! Kiffin coming back to Neyland next year to more than likely beat us and smirk at the cameras all day. When does this stop? Has Tennessee not paid the devil his due? We can trust Heupel to get this win even if we go up several scores. Can’t wait for 2026.
When does it stop. When people stop acting like a fool when Kiffin brings his team to Neyland to play. It gets brought up on sports talk shows when people do silly stuff at the game. Like throw mustard bottle or golf balls. Stop the crazy s**t

Golesh and Auburn comes to town too. I'd say Golesh knows Heupel's system inside and out.
There's also going to be a Manning coming to town. I'm not yet sure what next year sets up for but it's setting up for something.

I feel sorry for Ol Miss's fans & team! Now going thru what we did with the snake in the grass. I wonder where he goes next? Some sucker Institution!
Snake in the grass? Have you looked at what college sports have become? That term pretty much applies to everyone.

By that logic-would the opposite not also be true?

Heupel knows Goleshs system inside and out?

Face it-both have their own tweaks and preferences.
Yeah, but Hipe doesn't handle the play by play calls on defense. Which points out the need for a defense staff overhaul.

Some of yall are pathetic. This season hasn’t been fantastic. The defense was shockingly bad. But it is fixable. Let’s see if we make any moves this offseason. I’ll be frustrated if we don’t but I believe it will happen

Looking at next years Schedule.
If Heupel doesn't make some staff changes and we don't hit the portal hard.
It could get ugly for the Vols real quick.

Is there anything that gives you any confidence that our football team will better next year because if so, not beinf smart, I’d love to hear and have some hope.
1. If JA was to return, we could bring back the entire offense minus Kitselman, Star Thomas and likely Brazzell, plus adding Keys and Moa to the WR room. David Sanders should be even better next season.
2. We had an awful lot of young players get probably more playing time than we wanted them to this season, which should pay dividends with their development for next year. Particularly guys like Ty Redmond, Jadon Perlotte, Jesse Perry and Edwin Spillman.
3. We should get Rickey Gibson back next season. He and a more experienced Ty Redmond should provide an improved CB group.
4. Our schedule next season isn't as brutal as many people are proclaiming. It will be difficult but not as bad as many other SEC contenders. Most of our toughest games are at home.
5. Of our 9 SEC games next season, 4 of them will have first year coaches. Vandy will have to replace a large percentage of their team(including Pavia). Arkansas has the coach from Memphis and will not have Taylen Green or Mike Washington as well as a defense that should still be terrible. Auburn will have to find a QB that is competent and completely overhaul their identity with a coach in his first year as a P4 Head Coach. South Carolina was a mess this year and will likely have to replace a good bit of their best players, possibly even Sellers. Heupel is 2-0 at Neyland against Alabama and they will lose a lot of their best players, possibly including Ty Simpson.
6. Georgia Teach will not have Haynes King.

Between a roll, a cakewalk, mustard bottles, corn dogs, Cajun seasoning, and ketchup; it looks like this thread was sponsored by Uber Eats.

Watch what Vandy does in the portal this year. They've got the coaching staff, the money and now a taste of winning at football. Might not equal this years performance, but I suspect the days of rolling out of bed and beating Vandy are over. Won't be surprised if they get us at their place next year unless Heupel transforms himself, his staff and this roster this off season. Frankly, I don't think it's in him to make hard choices with players and staff. Look at how long he let Nico and Carter pull their garbage. Those episodes cost him a ton of respect and good will with the fans and also with many on the team. I wouldn't bet against some staff jumping ship, too.

7.5 is the ceiling. More likely 6-6 incoming without serious changes across the board.
Clearly...the only season CJH has had thus far with fewer than 9 wins(including bowl games) was his first year but that is without a doubt the ceiling moving forward.

We could have better coaches on the defensive side.

One of the freshman QB could be a superstar from game 1

Maybe some of the teams on the schedule has issues of their own.

Let's see how it plays out
If we have a freshman QB starting, we in serious trouble

It's interesting you suggest Joey A may return but Vandy will replace Pavia.

Joey joined Pavia's lawsuit to get another year. If one stays another year, it's likely both stay another year.

Okay, then why this?

Always keep reading.

“Pavia plans to declare for the NFL Draft and will not seek another year of NCAA eligibility, Downton says—but wants to remain a part of the lawsuit to ensure future players have the same opportunities he has had.”
