I knew the money grab would hurt us but expected better than dead last in the spring.

Is this an artifact of the lawsuit or other factors, thoughts?

No. Our recruiting has changed a lot over the last 2-3 years. We are in with a lot of highly sought players. Consequently, these kids tend to commit later because of the competition. We're fine. Our 2017 class will be very good when all is said and done. The impact of the lawsuit will diminish with time. I think most people realize it is just a money grab and a vendetta by certain ex administration people.

1. We are being out-bid by Ole Miss, Auburn and ala-Bama.

2. Recruits are skeered of Hurd, Kamara, Barnett, and other stud underclassmen coming back for another year after we KA&TN (kick arse & take names) in the CFP game next January.

Being in on highly touted recruits hasn't seemed to stop several teams from already locking down talent. Not saying we won't end up ok but it is frustrating to see us ranked 55 in anything football related. We need one or two guys to go ahead pull the trigger and become ambassadors for new recruits like some have in the past (Kelly, Mckenzie, etc..)

I think we're close to landing Fant, Gray, Crosby and Holloman.

Crosby is going to commit a day before his birthday on the 22nd and it's between us & VTech last I read.

Keep in mind guys, Butch has made late pushes the past 3 years to land us three top 15 recruiting classes. Two top 5's(2014,2015) & one top 15(2016). We were way behind the 8 ball in those 3 classes right up until NSD. I'm not worried even with the lawsuits ahead of us!

The '14 and '15 classes were near the top throughout the process.

Butch always ends up pulling in a decent class but so far we have no players or current 2017 Recruits stepping up. Is there not going to be a leader in this Class? Wharton, McKenzie, Byron Moore helped us greatly in the past but there doesn't seem to be anyone in their ear right now. Hopefully, we land some fellas at the O & W game and get some momentum going.

I think it's silly to think the lawsuit is impacting recruiting... I also think it's silly to worry about it in April. Other than the Tee Higgins de-commitment things are shaping up fine and should pick up even more after the season we are about to have.

Even Kahlil McKenzie waited until the Opening to commit (which was in July). Let's not get impatient here. We are in on a lot of elite talent. Wins over Florida and Georgia and a trip to Atlanta should lead to a top 10 class.

Aaron Hayden? Provided we take him.

Your second to last sentence is just wrong. This class is struggling at the moment. The lawsuit is having a significant impact. Hopefully with a very good season, recruiting will pick up.
