Knoxville based ESPN columnist Chris Lowe just said this on Swains show.
Said DKJ out at least 3 games and probably more.

He said Vols need another answer besides Jumper.
Said he thinks they should move JRM over and "plug" someone else into that spot.

This isn't really a Jimmy situation.

This is actual news. All we heard up until now was "Out for Ohio" and "week to week."

I thought it was too or I wouldn't have posted it.
All Butch has said is that DKJ will miss Ohio and will be day to day after that.

Sorry, thought it was already reported he would be out 4-6 weeks. Didn't realize it was just speculation.

Complete recruiting failure at the LB position if Jumper is our next man up

Or it could be a complete failure of the SCHOLARSHIP players behind him to actually step up and put the walk on, on the bench.......

Just a thought...

Can we at least give Jumper a chance? he seems to be a good leader and smart on the field. Let him be the leader he was born to be. Sorry if he isn't fast enough for you all.

Hasn't he had a chance?....actually a few chances. His work in the OU game last year was remarkable.

That's where the failure is.....apparently we signed some highly rated players who play worse than walk ons. Embarrassing

Unfortunately I think he's right, but we shall see. Butch has everybody guessing at this point which is probably his intention.

I think moving JRM over is the obvious move here, but what do I know?

Jumper is a good practice player, so let's go with him.

Can anyone offer any insight into why Bituli was moved to DE? I get that he's a little tall and lanky for LB but all I heard out of camp was that he had great instincts and speed at LB. Same with Austin Smith. We're loaded at end, and now, very thin at LB. That's a head scratcher. I also know that he probably wouldn't get these reps, just curious. Anybody? Anybody?

Just on my observation of Jumper he seems to diagnose the play pretty fast, now against VT he missed one play as I remember and had to chase him down from behind. So in fact his speed isn't a question it's that nearly every time he needs to make a tackle they just slip away from him. Maybe it's his level of strength or lack of tenacity.

I'm going to be that guy - My next door neighbor is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in ankles. He told me that 6 weeks at the very MINIMUM and that is assuming no ligament damage the slightest bit.. He also said even if he came back and played he will NOT be 100% this season. So expect DK out for some time and not be completely healthy for the remainder of 2016 season.

So basically what I am saying is that Chris Lowe is correct.
