Its the offseason I'm bored and am feeling a little nostalgic so why don't we share memories.

What is the loudest game you ever attended? Not a specific moment during a game I'm talking from start to finish. I have been to some insane ones 98 Florida, 96 UCLA, 96 Bama, 2004 Florida, 2006 Cal, 2006 UGA

Those were incredible but the one that I remember being the loudest from beginning to end was the 99 ND game crowd. My ears literally were still ringing sunday morning. One of the greatest game experiences I've ever had.

LOL plus I got drunk as hell on Patron after the game but had no hangover in the morning lol. That was a Saturday to remember:rock: Go Vols

06 Cal for me. However the Oregon game from 2010 got pretty rowdy for the smaller crowd that it was.

The stadium was much smaller at the time but for me it would still be Auburn in '85. We had a big lead from start to finish and won 38-20. They had the Heisman winner. We had a better QB and a defense.

The loudest game I've been to was the Georgia game this past season. I couldn't hear my dad talking right next to me.

For me 2004 Florida was the loudest but the Georgia game this past year got close. I haven't been to every game every year though

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Florida 1998. I was at the Arkansas game that year and can say that is the loudest roar from people I have heard in my entire life. But I still remember after the game on the ride home being told that Florida earlier that year was the loudest Neyland has ever been.

09 UGA and 13 UGA for me. Neither of which were night games though and I hear it needs to be a rivalry night game to get the loudest experience.

The single loudest moment I can remember is Travis Stephens taking the screen pass in against UGA in 2001. For about a minute it was absolute pandemonium in Neyland - couldn't hear yourself, the upper deck was shaking, all that. Sound wasn't quite as fancy back in 2001, but the video below conveys it well enough (just don't watch any further after the extra point).

Georgia vs. #6 Tennessee 2001 - YouTube

2004 Florida is the second loudest I can recall, especially the field goal itself. The cheering started at the other end (I was next to the band in the other endzone), and fell across the crowd in waves. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen in terms of a crowd reaction -- a ripple of Volunteer frenzy.

this is very easy to settle 1998 fla. then 2004 fla. then 2013 georgia. listen to vern lundquist screaming to be heard during the 2013 uga game broadcast.

2013 10 05 Georgia Bulldogs vs Tennessee Volunteers 2nd Half - YouTube

38 minute mark. gary and vern having to scream to be heard during blocked punt.

my gf had to plug her ears with her fingers it was so loud. we was at that game.

Was at the 2010 Oregon game. That was a fun game till we started losing. Rain delay, students running on the field, cops chasing the students, the stadium announcer trying to get people to go back under the over hang or into some type of shelter, it was a fun night other than the loss.

I've been to several listed on here but '98 UF was the loudest game I 've attended after the stadium expanded.

'82 Bama or '85 Auburn prior to expansion.

1) 1985 Auburn. I thought the upper deck was going to collapse from all the stomping. Our fans nearly tore down the stadium. By far the loudest and craziest Neyland has ever been.

2) 1982 Alabummer. Again, could literally feel the stadium shaking.

3) 1998 Florida. This game has to be up there with all time loudest. Al Wilson singlehandedly dominated Florida and the crowd just got louder and louder and louder. The after game experience on the field and campus might be the greatest of all time.

4) Arkansas 1998. First half was flat as a pancake and quiet. The second half of that game is arguably the loudest. That fourth quarter was when I knew 1998 team was a team of destiny. Again, Neyland Stadium was rattling....

5) 2006 Cal was very loud, wild and crazy. The Vols completely dominated. The hype that whole week and pregame with all the **** talking by Cal people and team caused a huge ruckus that carried over through the game by fans and obviously the players. That was an exciting day in Neyland. Just a good ol fashioned ass kicking.....

Honorable mention: 1992 Florida game in the absolute rain downpour. It was raining so hard you could barely see the field. The Vols dominated Florida the entire game. Complete dominance!! Usually people leave their seats or run for shelter. Not that day, every body stayed put and didn't care because it was worth every bit of being completely soaked. No one cared. The place was rocking that day despite the weather. Mose Phillips was a hero born that day!!!!

I'll go along with this, I was at two of the three games. I was also at the Cal game, which was very loud. The Georgia game last year was insane and ranked right up there with the loudest, IMO.

Edit; Just watched the GA link, you could not hear the announcer when the punt was blocked. That was loud.
