I went to Tampa this weekend to visit the Hard Rock Casino. On Sat. night we went on the gambling boat out of Tampa. At the end of the gambling cruize I was sitting around with my Power T hat on and some guy walked by and stared at me and then started laughing really loud and said "I am a Gator and we own you" then he walked away laughing. I just shook my head. Then I thought that I should of said how about Bball. I did say" another classy Gator fan". O well What would my fellow Vols have said?

I would have told him the T on my hat actually stands for Tebow.

Sorry, but the "own you" would have struck a nerve with me. I would have asked him if he cared to prove his theory.

Nothing at all.There are fans that show class for each team out there.He just happens to be an idiot.If we react to people everytime they say a smartass remark don't you think we would be arguing,fighting constantly?It aint worth it.Not at all.

Yes- a 1 point victory is such an "owning". I would've taken his money on the poker tables- then bought him a singing gator key chain with his own money.

Tampa is filled with Gator and bucks shirts, hats, ect. The whole street where I boarded the boat was having a street party and people dressed as pirates. I should have said AARRRRRRRRR you guys ging to get a good QB?

if the guy hasn't noticed, ut leads the overall series 19-17. and winning 2 of the last 4 games against us isn't exactly "owning" us. you should have brought up those stats.:good!:

yeah, that's great. and then i'd just ask, "who won the National title this year?, and how many games has CPF beaten UM again?"

like i said, just toss him overboard. no muss, no fuss.

Yea but he did a hit and run. He said it and walked away. I was caught off guard and was trying to get my thought s together and he ran off.

As I sat at the blackjack table a Fla. St. fan kept calling me Tenn. every time I won. He asked me how I thought we would finish in the SEC and I said that was a very tough question this year.

Knowing Tampa, he probably had an NY cap on. I would have told him, "That's nice. But you're not fooling me. Now go back to New York, yankee scum." :)

Lemme tell ya somethin', living in Tampa and being a Vol fan of 35 years, I deal with it daily. I've been here 11 years. Gator fans are extreeeeemely rude as a whole. Seminole fans pretty much leave us alone since all I have to say is "who won the 1998 Natioanl Championship?" Going to a game in the Swamp as a Vol fan is like putting an Al Qeida training camp next door to Parris Island.....risky at best. I will be there on Sept 21 though!!!!! BTW, don't pollute Tampa Bay with gator trash, the fishing is way too good here..lol.
