Lou Holtz: "Let's remember this: every call went against Tennessee today"

Bull shyt. UT had opportunities late in the game and couldn't finish. The refs had nothing to do with it. The officiating did suck, though. The horse collar on Shaw was garbage. However, Clowney got held several times, and it went unnoticed. UT definitely got the worse end, though.

The play that set up SC's final field goal should have been called back. There was a massive hold. The refs kept missing the holds, and they were blatant.

This, by far, is the worst thread!!! Idiotic even bringing it up, excuses are the worse discussion. Lou Holz is estatic his ole cocks beat UT , he hates UT

It's probably been discussed, but has there been an explanation on the intentional grounding that wasn't called?

You know when I knew for sure that Dooley was in over his head? When earlier this year he challenged a penalty! I didn't know whether to laugh or hang my head and cry at what my beloved vols have become.

Oh yeah and it doesn't matter what SCAR got away with. Bottom line is that Tennessee let the SCAR offense have a field day as usual and STILL had a chance to win the game and blew it.

The horse collar call wasn't just bad. It was devastating. Went from a possession change and short field to a SC drive.

Let's just face facts. Good teams and good coaches have always gotten the breaks. Always has been, always will be. At this time in the SEC, we have neither.

There's some truth to that, but there were a couple of especially bad calls against SC. The "horse collar" happened so fast that I can't get too upset about it. It was just a missed judgement call. Happens all the time in real time . . . it just so happens that the timing was horrible for us.

But the blown intentional grounding call and winding the clock at the end of the game when Connor Shaw went out of bounds and the linesman ran in waving his arms to stop the clock were flat out egregious. The whole stadium knew what the calls should have been and there was time for the refs to talk about it and get both calls right, but they didn't.

Funny how losers blame losses on items beyond their control (refs, the way the ball bounces, etc.) whereas winners take responsibility for what they can control and fix it.

Some penalties can be challenged... If it effects field position in a big way and you believe the refs missed the call, why wouldn't you challenge it??? That's stupid...

ANYONE who has played a sport knows you cant blame the refs.
Do they sometimes help ? Sure. But they dont loose games.
The Packers dont let Rogers get sacked a hundred times against the seahawks they dont loose the game

So what control does the winner fans have so we can help fix a team that we don't play on? Please expound on your thought provoking point. We are all on pins and needles awaiting your response.
