Praying for contacts, help, dignity, advice, etc.

December 2nd lost my job without a clue it would happen and less then a month before Christmas. November 3rd my Father in-law died, bills are piling up, rent for January will soon be due, cannot afford Christmas and past 11 days have been working 12 hours a day door dashing trying to make a few dollars.
Have applied to more than 40 jobs and no responses and getting desperate.

I am no expert on job hunting, but I would think take a bunch of temp jobs leading up to Christmas, based on signs in the window, and expect people to be out there hiring for better jobs January 2. A lot of businesses get super busy the last 2 weeks before Christmas, and it's a totally different bunch of businesses that just fall dead during that same period. I'm in manufacturing, for instance, and we are totally the latter category.

Hang in there.

Every restaurant in Green Hills mall is hiring. Many will hire with zero experience. Go make a grand a week serving until you find your thing. Good luck
Basically everyone (restaurant or other business) is hiring. It's not that hard to get a job to make money. It may not be the job you want, but you will make money.

List your skill sets. Someone might be able to help or point you towards a job if they knew your job skills.

Spring Hill Manufacturing is hiring a Production Worker - urgent $16.25/ hr

I found it on Indeed.com. Good luck!

Sorry. Must be a false lead.

Jesus Christ, how can anyone be expected to survive off that.

Yeah it's better than nothing for sure, but geez that's just enough (even in Tennessee) to get buy....not even.

Sure it is. It's actually plenty to "get by" or even live comfortably in east TN. Just have to be smart about it. Find a roommate, drive a cheap reliable car, don't buy a new iPhone every year, cut back on fast food/steaming subs/unnecessary groceries like soda and junk food. Of course if you have outstanding debt be it CC or otherwise, will probably take a crippling chunk out of it.
