Just prior to kick off as UT band was marching from field after forming the T, UGA players ran thru the ranks, to get to the north endzone to kneel and pray. It disturbed the march of the first column and some band members had to actually break rank to get around them. Totally classless and the coaching staff standing there witnessing this. The band assistants had to go over and make these players leave the field and some even refused until they finished praying. I certainly have no problem with prayer, however, this was totally unacceptable, when the south endzone was completely clear for them to pray there. It was obviously blatant. For any UGA lurkers...you might question this "high charachter" coach you have.

I couldn't help noticing that Coach Richt had a smirk on his face whenever the camera showed it.

I don't think that opposing teams know the procedures of the UT band. I could see how you would be disgusted if they start dancing around your logo in the middle of the field, but you were offended by some players praying which resulted in them being in the way of the band. I doubt that it was on purpose and I don't see how something like that would make you lose respect for somebody.

No..the band is marching off the field, playing mind you, and UGA players think its fine to bust thru the columns and disrupt the performance..Classless! Even as assistants were asking some to move, others came in and continued..RESPECT LOST!

I agree with you cornvol. It has nothing to do with prayer. It' all about aggression and disrupting and not respecting another schools trqaditions. Wonder what UGA insider would think if one of our players walked over and pi$$ed on their mutt of a mascot?

I never respected anything about Georgia before. I was behind their sideline in 03 and was never more offended by a team or coaching staff. Richt is a good man but he has no demand of the same from anyone around him.

I was not there so I did not see it. Sorry if it offended you but I don't think its that big of a deal.

Wish they would've danced on the logo, last time Georgia did that they got the sh*t beat out of em. Maybe we would've done it again.

Why are you apologizing? Did you do it? Do you think you can speak for the Georgia program? All you are is a halfa** UGA fan who would rather spend your time on this site for the attention you think it gives you.

Lets not act like Georgia doesn't have a history under Richt of pulling stunts like this. It's neither surprising, nor should it be disturbing. This is SEC football. Whether the whole team rushes the field and starts jumping up and down like they are humping a bunch of door knobs, plants a flag midfield after a victory and starts dancing, or mows down a rivals marching band... beat them on the scoreboard, and it won't matter a bit.

Correct Dunlap..no need for insider to apologize. He didn't do it. If he or some random fan did it would be a different story (can expect such from wacko fans..UT included) and authorities would handle it. However, this is all under sole control of Richt and it evidently met his approval. I don't post much, but if UT players did such, I would be on here bashing them.

Insider...I appreciate your take and reading your post, I picture you as someone who would definately have a problem with it if you had seen it. My posting if finished on this topic..Cornvol has left the building.

And we think our fanbase is so great. We have just as many a-hole fans as anyone else; the only reason you don't think so is you probably think our a-holes are cool. Or chances are you one of them.

Hey, but haven't you heard? Richt's a Christian. He'd never really mean to do that on purpose.
