I'm not too concerned with the loss to Florida at Gainesville. College sports is an emotional game...we just came off a huge win where we walloped Texas, a top 10 team...we just moved to #2 in the rankings...we have a huge home game against Auburn this Saturday.

We were clearly still hyped with the win against Texas and looking ahead to Auburn this Saturday. Florida just happened to be the unranked team and the meat between the sandwich. We did good just to keep it close given the circumstances.

This loss does not change my opinion that we should be one of the favorites to win the NCAA tournament!

The team was not hyped last night at all, they looked hungover. I appreciate your enthusiasm but this team has a couple of huge flaws, when one player goes cold, they all go cold and they cannot defend a good big man at all. They might make it to the Sweet 16 but their offense is not near good enough to win a NCAA tourney, defense is good, but you have to score as well.

I agree completely. One thing I'd caution any UT fan about is expectations. Keep 'em low or get rid of them completely and just enjoy it game by game. No matter what our seed is(forget a 1 seed) I have no doubt we'll end up in a bracket with Purdue. Hell, I'd wager we'll face teams with quality bigs from the opening bell. The committee won't be doing us any favors like they would if we were a Duke or UNC. They'll fill our plate with quality opponents just like when they threw an under seeded Michigan in our way.

Add that UF is in the midst of a stretch of @ Kansas St, vs UT, @ Kentucky, @ Bama. They had to figure a way to get a W

Yes to all this!

At this point even if Tn was a #1 or #2 seed, I could see a 15 or 16 beating them . Sad but true and the embarrassment would be unreal .

No chance they lose to a 15 or 16 but any other seed I could see. My prediction they win their first round game by single digits then get beat by 10-15 by the 6/11 seed

Holy overreaction…Your 15-16 seeds are KenPom 150+ teams typically, how many of those have we lost to this year?
Colorado was a "bad" loss. In my opinion that loss was an indicator of just how bad this team can be at times. Last night was another example of it. My expectations for this team went out the window after that Colorado game and frankly nothing will surprise me that they do the rest of the season.

Colorado is a Top 60 kenpom team, they’d be double digit favorites over a 15/16 seed

This team looked confused down the stretch. Nobody wanted to take a shot and there is no type of offensive sets. TN didn’t have an answer against FL’ defense which is concerning since teams take defense to the next level in March.

They’ve got flaws, yes, all teams do. They’ve got a lot more positives than flaws, and our flaws are “top ten.” How does “hungover” look on television? I’m just curious. Let’s see, a team that is “hungover” would have tons of turnovers, a big deficit in rebounding, and what else? This game (10 turnovers) we are very good. This game (18 off rebounds and +7 total) we are very good. Shooters have bad nights, eh?

Florida does have a good D. But, if you can take out Castleman, their offense is woeful.

Coming off a big emotional top 10 matchup win over Texas, I would define hungover as that they lacked intensity and energy against Florida. That Florida team is not a good team at all. You can also count the seven block shots that Florida had against the Vols as turnovers as well. The (3) losses to Colorado, Kentucky and Florida all shared the same template for Tennessee, they shot 27.9% (20% 3P) versus Florida, 40.4% (14.3% 3P) versus KY and 25.4% (27% 3P) versus Colorado. This is a trend, and if you look at their averages over the whole season, they are shooting 43.8% FG% and 33.2% 3P (ranked 234 in nation) . So this team has not improved in offensive production and these type games will end their tourney runs quickly. Defense is great, will keep them in most games, but you have to have at least an average offense to support that great defense and the Vols do not have that. This is why I do not think this team can get past the Sweet 16, not enough horsepower in scoring and their offensive schematic isn't very productive against good defensive teams.

I stopped reading at “that Florida team is not good at all.” Do some research and get back to me, because right now, they’re pretty darn good.

Are we going to lose in the first or second round this year??

I guess 13-9 is your definition of pretty darn good, well played....
Yeah, you have no clue…..well-played yourself. Seriously, do a little research ( I’m not talking about records) and it will allow you to make knowledgeable responses about the team you’re commenting on.
