Anyone in here sell cars at all and can get me a good deal? I usually buy and sell at auctions but I want a new car right now because I believe I can get a pretty good deal with this economy.

If you are a car salesman and can hook me up with a good deal, shoot me over a PM.
Thanks.

at this point, I wouldn't buy anything from the Big 3. Not that I don't like their cars, I just don't want to support a labor union doing it's best to destroy the US auto industry. I know, what I just said can be described as a self-fulfilling prophecy.

For warranty and price purposes, it's hard to beat Hyundai/Kia. Technologically, consider them about 5-7 years behind Toyota, Honda and Nissan. If you're looking at resale value, Toyota and Honda hold their value well. Avoid the luxury labels like Lexus, Acura and Infiniti. Good cars, but repair costs can be high.

If you really want a good deal, try to find 2008 or even 2007 models that are still brand new. Dealers are desperate to make sales, but are even more desperate to get rid of old inventory.

If you are looking for a car salesman to get you a good deal, you're crazy. Any money they let you have off cuts into their commission.

Do the internet thing. That's the easiest way to buy a car these days. Figure out what the dealer pays at cost and negotiate the living hell out of them.

the thought of a car salesman giving somebody a 'good deal' caused me to spit water all over my desk.

Find what you want, find a forum for that car and see what prices are. If no forum exists for the car, try www.carspace.com -- it's run by Edmunds and there's a forum for every brand and most models. In each of these forums is a "Prices paid and buying experiences" section. There's also a great section that has up to date leasing info (or it can be provided by the mods) including residuals and money factor rates.

Unless you get a special manufacturers finance rate, arrange your own financing. No sense paying the dealership the "backside of the deal".

Consumer Reports is a reliable source for such things as reliabilty histories.

I know all about the cars and stuff. I own 3 Audis and get them pretty cheaply at auctions. I just want a new car right now and the Infinity M45 is pretty nice. Was hoping maybe someone here worked at either an Infinity dealership or maybe even Lincoln because the MKS is nice as well.

I was thinking of getting a Jaguar, but I already have 2. I'm looking to up my airplane collection though.

One of my 4 Porsches is almost a year old. I'll give it to you if you would like. I could do it as a tax write off.

Got my Audi online from an import guy in bama. 1 year old, sticker new was 56k. I drove it back home for 21500. 2006 A6 Q. Best car deal I ever made. I'll let someone put 22k miles on it for 30 grand off. Holler if you want the dealers name.

Did I mention I have 2 Jaguars. Not one, but two of them.

For example, if "O" represented one of my Jaguars, then they would look like this....

"O" "O"

.....next to each other, because I have multiple Jaguars. Therefore, to have something next to something there must be 2, Jaguars that is.

look at volkswagon. i have a 2007 4 door passat in the drive way and it is pretty sweet. it will flat out compete with any car on the road with a 2.4 cylinder turbo porsche engine. i am mainly a toyota guy, but they have put out a bunch of ugly vehicles the past couple of years but my '91 4runner is still truckin.
