Looking ahead: Rutgers

Tough games remaining: Rutgers, Stanford, Notre Dame, Georgia (twice), Kentucky(twice), South Carolina. That's 8 games. Lady Vols need to win at least 5 of those. Do LSU and Vandy present porblems or any other conference games? Hard to remember when the Lady Vols had double digit losses. They still won the National Championship under Pat with 10 losses.

Oregon State, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M are all in the top 25. We lost 10 regular season games in 2008-09, I think we'll probably eclipse that this year. There will be some unranked teams that cause problems for us like there are every year.

I heard Burdick's interview on the up coming with Rutgers. She talked about reuniting with friends she worked with this summer, and that the team was going to a play. I just hope they are prepared and when game times arrives, they are ready to kick a bunch of Lady Knight A___. Go lady vol get the train beck on track.

Now looking at the remaining schedule we have left and what hAs transpired so far, we have the possibility of losing more games in a season than we have lost in a single season in 20 years. But, not so fast my friend because we have the talent to win each one of those games. I think it will get down to coaching and what combinations are placed on the floor. In addition, the end result will be determined upon the desire, the determination, and the "want to" that the players play with. The coach must use hEr timeouts in a timely and effective manner. If a player's head is not in the game that player must be dealt with then and there and not after they have missed a "bazillion" shots and turned the ball over a "bazillion" times. It will be a hard road but it can be made easier if coaches and players have the ability to coach and play at a high level. It can be done.:clapping:

And they didn't have the same quality teammates to pass to for the assists.

Shouldn't we consider the coaching, or lack there of, and an error prone cast that are not a disadvantage for Stewart as it is for Graves and Harrison. Stewart may have better BB IQ, but we have to consider the environment she plays in and the supporting cast.

teacherdean..... excellent comments..... man, i would love to see a more integrative and cohesive offense...... need to ploy team ball..... and have the fundamentals down..... a long way to go i think on offense to achieve...... not as far to go on defense, though it stands a bit of improvement.....

i do not think wins and losses is so important this year..... i think it is all in the hands of the coaches..... in holly's post game pressers she highlights issues that need improvement..... most of which fall on the coaching staff to correct..... a bit better every game, steady, if slow improvement, and the team will be good for March

Two NCs in two years, two Final Four MVP, and NPOY by her sophomore year? Overrated my @ss. She may not be vocal like Candace or Diana, but she is unmistakably tough as nails. As you put it, it's already "over".

She's hands down the best college player in the country. She would start for most WNBA teams today.

Jewell Lloyd is the best player in wcbb to me, just like Sims was last year for me. No talent or inexperience players around em and they still win or won.
