I have always looked wide-eyed at Lofton's perfomance on offense. But we just saw him make some key plays on defense that resulted in a 'W' for TN. Yeah, he missed some three's and FT's but made up for it in late-game steals. I can't wait to see him in the next one - both on offense AND defense.

He's definitely working on some other aspects of his game.

Lofton was at my highschools game tonight, not sure why, put he was. We gave him a little chant to come shoot and he came down to half court, but the teams had come back out to warm up so, he just launched it from half court and it rimmed out. the place went crazy when he came down.

I wonder what his percentage is from half court? I'd bet it's way better than most.

It's amazing to me that our guys still have the energy to make great plays and steals at the end of a game, after giving 110% in Bruce's system. Of course, when he has room, we all love to see him rock the 3. It has been nice to see him drive to the rim early in the year and make some crazy point-blankers.

On the downside, though, is that he's undersized and could really use the ability to create shots (e.g. mid-range jumpers ala MJ). Teams are starting to accept that you must put a tall, athletic defender on him. If we can get some more consistent play from the Fab-froshmen, it would take a little of the heat off of Chris and allow him to open it up a little come crunch time.

What a great role model for younger kids - athletes or not. Lofton's so humble and composed - he just goes out and does his thing and doesn't whine. The whole team is great - they are passionate, but there aren't any punks on the team - CBP won't allow it.

He had a "quiet" 20 against Okie St., and uncharacteristically missed those free throws at the end of the game, but he has also carried this team at times this year. I think that Lofton is improving his game on both ends of the court. He is no longer just a spot-up shooter. Now, he is a very good basketball player, and a legitimate All-American candidate.

Ever since i watched tennessee beat the hell out of texas last year, I've been following the team ever since. I love the passion in Bruce Pearl when he is coaching. The man does a terrific job.

I havent been this excited about UT basketball in a while. I was on cloud 9 last year but watching Coach Pearls team is exciting in itself. What a great person he is too. This basketball team deserves all the support we can give it.

Saturday can't get here soon enough for me. I am really looking forward to the show. What kind of package are they gonna throw at Lofton? How will he react? Will Duke keep stepping up? Will we be successful from outside? inside? can't wait to find out...
