Lofton Would have went to NBA

wow, I never knew he was considering going really. It would have been the worst decision he ever could make.

He might do a lot better after a really successful senior year. I doubt that guys like UF's Brewer would have gotten the look they got if it had not been for UF's success last year. Lofton may wish right now that he had been healthy enough to declare early. But a year from now he might be pretty pleased he didn't.

If he gets to play some significant minutes at PG this year and shows some ball handling skills, he'll make himself a lot of money.

Personally I don't think he would have really gone. He wouldn't do it for money at least because he wouldn't have been a first round pick. If he gets cut he's up a creek and off to Europe where he could make some money.

I honestly don't see him as a first or second round pick this year. But who knows after this year's season?

that could be a deadly combination with him and JJ Redick on the perimeter..and u couldnt double those guys because u have to worry about Howard and Lewis too:question:

That might be the worst back court in the league. Opposing guards would score all day on them.

Orlando will figure out a way to screw this thing up. Don't you worry about that.

Paper is reporting that Grant Hill is signing wih Phoenix as a free agent. You should see how bitter people are here over his having wrecked the team salary-cap wise for the last 7 years. And now he leaves once a free agent because Phoenix would pay him a bit more.

Just like opposing guards score on Phoenix all day... they will outscore opponents with 3 bombers all day
Surely your kidding. Those two are going to get faceguarded on every step they take in the NBA, because they can't beat NBA caliber players off the dribble. Starting both would mean no penetration, ever. Would give Howard room to work, but he ain't that type player (yet).

Thank you. It has to be a joke! That would likely be the worst back court in the league.

“I was gonna go,” Lofton said from his home in Maysville, Ky. “It was just that my ankle, my injury, slowed me down a lot, and I couldn’t work out for any teams. That forced me to come back.”
If this is true, then that ankle was a tremendous bit of good fortune. For the Vols yes, but more so for Lofton. He needs to fluff up his NBA resume. Pearl told him as much at the end of the season. I find it hard to believe he really would have bolted. But there it is in quotations so it must be so...

Sounds like the typical dude that watches his friend get his teeth kicked in and then spouts off with: "man, that mofo's lucky he didn't put his hands on me, 'cause I'd have......" Easily said when big mofo ain't around no mo.

Draft came and went and it's now pretty easy to say "I coulda did that"

That's exactly what I was thinking.
