Former Tennessee basketball All-American Chris Lofton has signed with the Allegiant Athletic Agency (a3) in Knoxville.

"I belong with a Knoxville agency,'' Lofton, 24, said Tuesday. "I feel comfortable with Jared Karnes and the people there.''

hope it works out for him. he deserves a shot at NBA. They put people on roster due to size. he is every bit as good as shooter as J.J. Redick and is bigger than Stephan Curry.

chris is a tweener. he doesn't have point guard skills, and is just too small to be a shooting guard. i love chris but i just don't think he could make it in the nba. i wished he could. i really wished coach pearl and his staff could have worked with him to be a point guard when he was here. i do wish him the best of luck !!! :good!:

Yet, not even close to the talent of these 2. If he were, he would be on a roster. NBA is players league. Players play, non players go overseas.

Well, Lofton is a still a player and can have a very nice career overseas. I love the guy, but he's not an NBA player. I also think getting representation out of Knoxville might not be the smartest idea when dealing with owners in Madrid, Athens or Istanbul.

My guess is that the plan was for that to happen, but when the cancer thing came up, that had to change

I'm not sure if this was his right move or not, but I hope he can somehow make it on a roster in America.

I think Lofton is clearly stronger/ more athletic then Lebron, a better rebounder then Dwight Howard and the best in the league at creating his own shot.

There is always a place for a great shooter on the right team. There are such things a screens and picks that gets shooters open.

That may be true, but size and defense is his knock. Plenty of teams can find a decent enough shooter who also have other qualities.

Yeah, NBA teams are noted for running plays for the guys at the end of their bench.
