I just stepped out from work to go to lunch and there was nothing goin on at the sports animal so i switched to 1180am, and the guy (dont know his name) was just blasting kiffin left and right. i dont really listen to that station so i dont know, is that somethin they always do? i mean he was trying, just a little bit, to be supportive, but he completely took kiffins comment like our bammer and UF*ck friends have on this website

Basilio?

He was basically saying don't call someone a cheater unless you are sure they are cheating, especially when you know you are about to be slapped on the wrist for minor recruiting violations yourself.

I can't really argue with that.

I will bet you anything that all the top programs in the country commit recruiting violations every year, they just don't get reported by their own school.

No doubt about it. I agree 100%

In fact, it was said on Basilio's show a little while ago that Kiffin said that they did the same things at another college he coached at (USC), but he didn't name the school.

whats amazing is that there is a chance(a small one) that we come out with an attitude this year and really surprise a few teams and then they will be singing our praises(hope so)

Didn't Washington's coach (former USC coach) get slapped with similar violations?

If your going to worry yourself over something, dont let it be minor recruiting violations. Any team that has any quailty players commits tons of these every year. Its like someone telling you not to eat that huge bowl of m&m's so you just grab a few cause nobody will care.

Like most of ya'll I have suffered through the waining years of the Fulmer area with much flustration and disapointment. We have been the whipping boy of the SEC for too long now. We now have a coaching staff that refuse to keep status quo, and not sit back on the laurels of decades past. It started with their wake-up call this recruiting season and will continue building this season on the field. The attitude has changed and will continue, strides will be made and ground gained. Go get 'em Kiff! Rattle the cages and watch the fear in their eyes grow. By the end of the 09 season everyone will say it's GREAT to be a TENNESSE VOL !

I agree with pretty much everything on the wall. I forgot who said it on espn but they said it best: coaches commit secondary violations in their sleep.
Anyways, i also read finebaum's article about ut should fire kiffin. that guy couldn't be a bigger moron. if it wasn't for kiffin this recruiting class would be somewhere in the 40s or 50's. just when we thought nick satan couldn't be rattled, in came our hero in the darkest hour. Go get em, Kiff

Let me know when you see Nick Saban rattled by "your hero". He seemed terribly rattled to me after the LK and LT comments. He was so rattled, in fact, he stumbled inadvertently through the mighty memphis wall and plucked the best reciever in TN the very next day. Luckily, he was able to pull himself together long enough make a few more stops on the way home.

According to each respective fan base, ESPN hates every team. It's not surprising to me to learn from you guys that ESPN hates you too.

There is a chance, a small one....but a possibility, that if Kiffin keeps this up he will comit a serious violation that comes with sanctions.

Signing day is almost a year away. When the kid signs on the dotted line- then he's Bama's. It's not over yet... And knowing how Saban is, if he made a few more stops on his way home, at least one of them was a job interview.

Who cares about K.Malone...pretty sure he was dying to go out of the state. I read somewhere that he has never been a UT fan. There are much better receivers out there and he will be a total non-factor. Now, Justin Maclin, OC Brown, and the two other TN linemen are must gets.
