we win you whine and cry......I agree this was Arkansas St..........but none of you can take anything positive from that game??

Punting, great
Kickoff and return great
PR return suspect
Offense, beautiful....
Defense...we could tackle better but really NO blown assignments......
Pass defense was STRONG
Rush defense would have been real good had we wrapped up and tackled in the backfield......that is the easiest phase of the game to work on.......

actually punt return was hideous, not just suspect, and the dline did nothing to stop the rush, tackling again killed us so run defense was horrible. and we got burnt a number of times on pass defense from blown assignments so it wasn't as good as you wish it were either.

As idiotic as your threads/posts have been thus far, I have to give you some credit in the consistency department.

their passes got downfield when Chavis decided not to blitz.....when we blitzed, he either threw the ball away or was sacked

There were some blown coverages, specifically an early one by Willingham that led to ASU's 1st score, I believe.

Pass defense was not strong. Rush defense was terrible. Tackling problems suck, but they have no impact on the gaping holes ASU's lines created. You just don't know how to watch football.

No, he's a hater on you. Nobody loves UT more than me, not one person, yet your continual assertions that have no real life basis piss me off.

if we hired you as coach.......what would you have done different last night with the blitz schemes and 4 - 3, what would you have done with the safties?? I wanna hear this from a professional football watcher......then I will give you some thing I thought coud have been different......but only after you Coach Bryant

Typical BS response from someone who has no idea. I never said I should be a coach. I don't get paid to. It's like asking Coach Fulmer what he would do with a TV prospect who wanted $10 CPM, after our station lost the sale.

Get it?

With Les Miles being almost a shoe-in at Michigan, I bet Pelini heads up LSU.

I'd love Venables.

ok sense you dont have an answer and you sa all of that cuz you don't know......in the 4 - 3, the first thing I would do is get Ryan Karl off of 1 on 1 with the slot receiver.....I would move Vinson there and Hefney up to the outside receiver and it would be bump and run, none of this 10 yards off the ball crap......I would rush a linebacker from either side at different times, then occassionally up the middle. I would keep Dan Williams in more often and I would let Eric Berry free lance in the middle but move him up to about 5 yards behind the linebackers on 2nd and 5, 3rd and 7......then anything pat 3rd and 9 I would go with the zone with safties deep and use 2 linebackers and cb's in zone.....kinda like a loose cover 2

Easier said than done. If it were that easy, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

For one thing, though, Karl gets too much PT.

but always send a linebacker zone or not, forgot that part

Awesome, so you'd let our opponents know that every time in a passing situation, we're blitzing one LB. As soon as any competent QB sees that, they pick us apart. ESPECIALLY if the LB shows the blitz early, allowing a QB to call hot routes.

and the majority of their long runs came off left tackle....twice when they spread it out and moved backers to the line of scrimmage.......Dermonte Bolden did well, I just think the line doesnt know all of their assignments.....

The line has been the best of the 3 defensive units these 4 games. Linebackers have been absolutely, 100% putrid.

no disguise the blitz.....remember, I said from side to side and sometime up the middle!! what is a blitz for, do you honestly know why you blitz??
