I bought a 250 HDD last week..tired of having only a couple gb's left on the small 20gb one I had

So I'm not quite understanding this? I no longer need to buy a bigger harddrive because I can store my stuff on an external through my xbox? Is that correct?

Yeah but the max storage can only be 16 gb at a time. But you can have as many flash drives as you want.

Yes but there are limitations to it apparently.

I think I read that it has to be 8GB but can only use up to 16GB.

Anyone else having to update every time they play a game?

I havent had this problem at all, but if you are talking about using a flash drive and playing different titles, yes you will have to update the first time you play each title. This is because you are using the flash drive as your memory device and it doesnt have the updated patch file which are on whatever drive you had primary before you started using the flash drive.
