These kids aren’t snowflakes ready to melt. Most of them are classic overachievers just itching for a chance to prove themselves in a tough situation. Plus Mauer is already a veteran. He has already had his baptism by fire behind an atrocious OLSo a young guy can get his confidence destroyed playing behind that atrocious OL? Lol. Ok
Well we never got the xhance to see did we. The game is about competing and getting up when you get your ass kicked. If the younger guys aren't able to do that, then we need to find that out as well. Tired of people seeing these guys as fragile little kids whose egos are shattered at the slightest bit of adversity. If they're that weak, then they need to find something else to do.No one was doing anything behind that O line play. NO ONE
I guess we should have subbed the entire o line as well. LolWell we never got the xhance to see did we. The game is about competing and getting up when you get your ass kicked. Never said the OL didn't play bad. I understand rotation to keep people fresh. What I don't understand, especially 3 games in, is moving players around within the OL. It just seems like it doesn't allow the OL to settle and get in sync. And that is your answer, they couldn’t block or move UGA’s front even when they added extra olineman. A handful of elite qb’s perform under that kind of pressure
Remember last year when JG was holding onto the ball and people were saying that another QB would do worse because the O-Line couldn’t protect them? Then lo and behold Mauer is getting first downs and moving the offense and the O-Line actually looked halfway decent. It is stupid at this point to continue to keep JG as the starter. I can’t emphasize that enough. It is stupid.
This is exactly right, and I cannot figure out why so many on here miss this point. JG changes every aspect of the offense because at best, he can only stretch the field with a jump ball that’s grabbed occasionally.Well when you don’t have a QB to worry about it is easy to stop the run.
The same guy who's now a walking concussion?Remember last year when JG was holding onto the ball and people were saying that another QB would do worse because the O-Line couldn’t protect them?
