Hi guys,
I have been a UT football fan for as many of my 42 years as I can remember. I love you guys and have stood beside you win or lose, good games and bad. I just wanted to tell you how much the game Saturday means to me.
1. First and foremost, I despise the University of Florida team and most all of their fans. To win this game Saturday would give the 3-loss Gators another week to sweat and worry and pray (as if God listens to a Gator fan :shakehead
for a UT defeat after having embarrassed us earlier this season.
2. I have relatives who are Hawgs and are CONVINCED that THIS is THE year they will "take us down". To win this game Saturday would shut them up for another year and spare me having to listen to that godawful Soo-ee or whatever the heck it is they say.
3. I have a big party planned the day of the Kentucky game. My mother-in-law bleeds blue and even though she will not say it, I KNOW deep inside she also believes that this is UK's year. To win this game Saturday would give me a reason to still have a party at 11:30 am on a Saturday and the ability to say to my mother-in-law "You DO remember that we beat Arkansas right?" thus giving her a little bit to think about before talking her smack.
Anyway guys, I hope that this game Saturday means as much to all of you as it does to me and legions of other Vol faithful who exult with every win and suffer with every loss. I believe that you will do your dead-level best to win and wish you all a safe, injury-free game.
