I really think Mecham is gone.
According to him, God hasn't told him what to do yet. The fact that he is still even considering coming back is amazing to me. I think he should go but am not so certain as most that he will.

As a Christian, I am blessed by the fact that he appears to seriously be waiting on what God wills for him. There have been guys who stayed who might have been more successful in the NFL with another year of college. There have been guys whose draft status and careers have probably been hurt by staying. Then others have been successful at both.

Only God knows... and that seems to be who Meachem is trusting to lead him. I'm very impressed.

For Florida to beat OSU, they have to get lucky for 60 minutes.
Disagree completely. The early polls are in and OSU's schedule appears to be as weak as I've been arguing ever since the debate between UF/UM began. I personally believe that UF would have been undefeated and more impressively so than OSU with the same schedule.

Maybe PSU and Michigan will add some credibility but neither Iowa nor Texas looked very good. Maryland fairly well dominated Purdue. Minn collapsed against TTU.

If UT and USC win as I believe they should then OSU's weak schedule will be completely exposed.

OTOH, UGA was pretty impressive beating the ACC's #2 team. FSU showed that they've improved by beating the team and scoring well against the team that just recently beat and shut down USC. UK beat a quality ACC team. So Car won though not impressively. The only blemish is Bama who just lost their coach to finish a miserably embarassing season and still almost won.

Usually, the Big10 is the best conference top to bottom IMO. Not this year- they have 7 teams at least that are pretty bad.

I think UF should win. Your defense will be the best OSU has seen- just as strong as UM but faster. They haven't seen anything like the athletes you'll throw at them offensively.

I know you didn't want to expose yourself to abuse by showing confidence but looking at OSU's schedule makes me think you should have a great deal of confidence in your chances.

Yeah, Florida's opponents have acquitted themselves well so far. I noticed that, too, and wondered if folks were picking up on it. So far, it does look like the PAC-10 will disappoint (as usual) whereas the SEC can really prove a point over the next 9 days.

If the Vols, get a top-4 seed, they will probably open the tournament at Rupp, and no one will beat Lofton there in the NCAAs, so D is very likely. I hope all of that happens though, well, then again, there's not much in it for me if A happens.

Oh, what the hell... I'm gonna bear the stigma and root for your team despite being personally repulsed by the idea. You wont hear the pHrase 'go (insert 'g' word.'
