What would be your thoughts on Fulmer then?

the feeligns wouldn't change, but it would be hard to fire a guy that went 10-2.

the reality is, we likely wont' have to worry about that scenario though.

I would have some hope if we had competed a little harder in both our games we lost this year. Us going undefeated from here is the equivelent of hitting the powerball jackpot.

the problem with going 10-2 is that it will STILL not mean winning the East and it STILL will not mean even competing for the SEC Championship...

just yet another year with nothing to show for it..

And God help us if we wound up playing Penn State in a bowl game.... AGAIN.

i don't think you guys should be that much weight on the first three games. We played two very tough top ten opponents on the road in hostile enviornments with too much speed on both sides of the ball and too many playmakers. We're obviously not a top 10 team but i definately think we're top 25 worthy. I think the Georgia game will really show us what we'll do the rest of the season.

If we go 10-2 I think we will finish 1st in the East.

i dont think florida will lose 2 SEC games. I think they lose at LSU but they're just too fast to lose to any other SEC teams. They've got SC on the road though that will be tough, but I don't see any other upsets.

I really beleive we can end the season at 9-3. Like i said, two of the first three games were extremes on our schedule. Those two teams are much better than any team we will face the rest of the season.

You have to be in fantasy land if you believe we will only lose 1 more game the way we have been playing.

If we finish 10-2 and 2nd in the east, we'll be CapitalOne Bowl bound.

No Outback bowl for us--it's an upgrade, baby:pepper:

I can understand what he is saying; we can go go 8-1 from here. We have at least as good a personel as anybody left on our schedule save possibly Arkansas (I'm going to reserve judgment on that, as I really haven't seen enough to guess how bad the offseason turmoil hurt them that badly.)

MSU stinks and Kentucky is one-deep in a good offense and still suspect on defense, both wins over the weekend notwithstanding; Bama must have played well, but it is still the first year of St. Nick; man for man we still out gun USC; UGa looks down again; and Vandy still isn't allowed to swear.

If UT plays well, it is possible that they lose only one more game. However, I saw nothing Saturday that would indicate that it is likely to happen. As disgusting as so many parts of that game were to me, nothing was as troubling as the sense I got that the mighty Vols quit after the fumble return for a touchdown. IIRC, we were outscored 24-0 after that play, and every aspect of the game seemed to get worse. I really feel like our will was broken, and that we finished the game by lying back and thinking of England. That is not a good omen that we will pull it together and finish the season in a good fashion.

the point is "if" we went 10-2..were right back in the same boat next year losing to Florida

If somehow we magically won all the rest of our games and the bowl game. It would be very difficult to fire fulmer. Alot of things would have to improve for that to happen. So IF somehow that were to happen fulmer would keep his job.
