Most logical people on here have said it all along, but let's just re-iterate...

The kid played against crap-defenses the end of last season and looked good. Simms probably would have looked just as good though.

5-30 in the spring game, I don't care what the excuses are... That's a red flag. He had our #1 and #3 WR's, plus our #1 RB.

Let's slow down on the "Bray is the next Manning" talk.

Not saying he won't be a decent QB. But he has a LONG way to go. And I'm not so sure Simms doesn't have a shot at taking his job back.

It was windy and there were a lot of drops, but yeah that was the worst he has ever looked in a game. Simms and Worley looked better, but I will stick with Bray. He just had a really bad game. When he has a string of those then we'll talk.

I was with you, kinda, until that last sentence. Anyone trying to determine anything as far as how this fall will go from this game is deluded.

I look at it like this, this just confirms the fact that Tyler has a lot of work left to do. Chaney will get him straight.

Lol @ op....
Yeah he didn't look great today, but Simms has no chance at taking the starting job....
You really can't put much merit in these games anyway.

The orange team didn't have the #1 oline.

And about a hundred other things we could list here that proves that the game means absolutely nothing. It cracks me up that every year folks post every positive or negative thing they see and infer that it is going to carry over to next season.

Oh, I agree. I'm not basing it on this game alone. Basing it off of his starts last season. He is not as good as some folk on here make him out to be. I've seen local Knox High School QB's look better than Bray did today.

You said it! I am seriously concerned about Bray. I was all for redshirting Worley in Feb, but now, we may need to keep him on the sidelines. Simms looked good. However, he did have the O. Coord and most of the good O lineman. Bray has no exuse today. He flat out stunk it up. He had time and several open receivers and didn't get the ball to them. This is unacceptable. The energy level on this team is nowhere to be found. I felt like I was at a funeral today. And I don't want to hear the weather excuse. The fall will bring much worse days than this. The kicking game was horrible. The running game was lost. Maybe Dooley needs to really consider keeping the first team off and def together in the future. It is really hard to tell how these guys have improved from last year. They took a step back in my opinion.

Bray has to be the starter, Simms the back up, period.

Dont want another situation like 2005.

If Bray doesnt play well once the season starts so be it, then Simms can play.

Did he look bad? yeah, but he didnt get much help either.

Should motivate him to work harder over the summer.

I expected see reactionary drivel like this after the game. No doubt that Bray struggled today, but so did the other QBs. Keep in mind that they were playing in string gusty winds today. Dooley is not upset with his play. he realized it was a split squad spring game played in poor conditions.

Of course, you are ready to anoint Simms based on a meaningless spring game.

We should just annoint him as the best option of the four. If you argue with that I'm starting a ponzi scheme tomorrow send me a pm if you want in.

5-30? I haven't played sports in 10 years and I could complete 5-30.

Yeah because you can go prove yourself later today. Come on really. It is easy to write on here about things but going up against pressure from the D line, a secondary that doesn't make anything easy, and bad weather I would love to see it. I call bull@:$& on you my friend.

If bray had white's o line... This wouldn't be a discussion right now. White had the better group in the trenches..

Not ready to anoint anyone. If it comes to Simms getting the job back, we might be in a lot of trouble.

Simply reminding people that this kid played against a VERY soft schedule and doesn't deserve the sort of praise he's gotten since last November.
