Yes, I think Auburn has a pretty darn good defense as do we, but their quarterback can't throw the ball downfield with any zip. On the other hand we can't throw the ball downfield in the vicinity of a receiver. At least the War Eagles give their receivers a chance to catch it. My prediction, Vanderbilt beats Auburn next week and stays atop the SEC east. Somebody pinch me, I've got to be havin' a nightmare.:wacko:

They won't play that flat again this year, imo.

It's embarrassing that Auburn can't even get motivated to play us, let us play on their side of the field the entire second half, and then they still win.

Auburn has a good from 4, especially the ends. Their defense may save the season for them. Our coverage is poor, despite having great talent. Our d-line can run-stop so-so, but really don't get the pressure to carry a team. Offense is stagnant.

If auburn is not any good i would hate to say what ut is but i think we both have the same problem we need an offensive coordinator that is good and we both need a quarterback.

Good luck on the rest of the year vols.

War eagle we may get beat by vandy next week.
You never know.

I don't think it's any great mystery what we are...you know it and we know it. AUB looked like they were trying to give us this game today and we wouldn't take it. Pathetic on our part. But then again, its SEC and thats what keeps us coming back for more. :drool:

Auburns offense is bad. Unfortunately ours is worse. In close games it comes down to playmakers and coaching. Both of which we seem to be lacking. I think Vandy has a good shot a beating auburn next week.

Auburn, Tennessee, and to a lesser extent Mississippi State, are fighting for the title of worst offense. So far, we are winning.

Auburn played well today, with one glaring mistake and some problems moving the football against a pretty good defense.

My prediction is that they beat an overmatched Vandy handily in an ugly game.

I wouldn't bet on that one. We'll see,but candy as some on here might say just might bite the tigers.

Thats why we cant afford to sit Crompton he is the only thing besides Phis keeping us in it

Then don't bet. Vandy will go into that game as a dog, for good reason. That is a very good Auburn team, with perhaps one of the nation's best defenses, two good backs, and a very good receiver/return man. Quarterback has been a problem, but hey should win the battle on both lines, and that is where games are won or lost.

FYI, a win over us isn't always a good thing.

UCLA is 0-3 since win over UT.
Florida is 0-1 since win over UT.
