Friends,
For the first time in a perhaps a decade, we have a legitimate chance, not a fan's false hope, to beat the Saban-led Alabama Crimson Tide. Regardless of your feelings on the coaching staff, our player's previous performances, or petty differences of opinion between Volnation members, I challenge each of you to inject a heavy dose of positivity to this board. Let's show this team that those on this forum, while we have our right to express our opinions, are first and foremost in full support of our boys in Orange!
I believe Hurd will return and dominate!
I believe in Dobbs, our resurgent O-line, and our passing offense!
I believe our defense will hold strong!
I believe in our coaching staff to game plan effectively and lead our team!
And believe that we will defeat Alabama this Saturday!
GO VOLS!
I love posts like this. They make me laugh. We may win all the games after Bama but unless they play the worst game of Saban's career, we aren't coming close to beating them. Their offense is every bit as good as ours and their Defense is light years better than ours.
You're doing this wrong.
GO VOLS!!!

Legit Q. Does a positive internet forum actually help our team out on the field during the game? I'm all for beating Bama and being unified. But this feels a little bit similar to clicking the "like" button on Facebook to show you support Jesus.
Apples and oranges, imo. Anyone who thinks this forum isn't read by players and/or coaches is kidding themselves. If there was a forum of people talking about you, praise or criticism, wouldn't you read it?
I've always been a believer that positivity and negativity are contagious; it's what I reinforce as a teacher. Frankly, it's harder to be positive, but you'd be surprised of the benefits it could have. Maybe it affects the team, maybe not...but it certainly has no potential to hurt it. Negativity may or may not affect the team either, but it has the potential to harm the team. As a fan, why even take the chance? Seems a no brainier to me.
