First of all, I have no love for any other SEC team other than my Tigers. Yes, I root for the SEC in bowls, even found myself celebrating UF's win over OSU... 24 hours later the hate resumed, don't worry.

Seemingly overnight Bama has become my #1 enemy. Not b/c of the simple fact that Saban is their coach now. More b/c of the way he went about it, his recent remarks, and the delusional Bama fans that are rubbing the whole thing in our face and telling us that they're basically going to be running the SEC b/c they have Saban.

Now, I know Tenn's hatred for Bama is well documented and long standing. The same of course is true of Auburn. Even now I think the Rebels have a little bit of chip on their shoulder for Bama.

Of course I would probably root for an east team to beat Bama anyways, but know that on Oct 20th a sizable portion of your fan base will reside in the state of Louisiana. Basically I just wanted to give you all some early best wishes for that game. I'm hoping for a total sweep of Bama by the Rebs, Vols, War Eagle (faux Tigers), and of course my Tigers. May we meet in the SECCG. Till then...

Oh yea, and please beat the crap out of Cal again! That was beautiful last year, yall lead the way in our 3-1 stomping of the Pac 10 (thanks for blowing the sweep Arky!).

PS: Like many of you, I'm rooting for the Colts and Manning tonight!

Anyways, I used to like Saban but sadly enough he became coach at my least favorite team.

Arkansas, Washington State and Arizona never stood a chance. Cal-Tennessee was the only non-mismatch between the two conferences in 2006.

We all know the cycle right? There comes a time in football at the Bama, Awbarn, Vol, LSU level where one team will suck it up for a few years and then start to win consistently again. On the other hand there comes a time when the winners will start to loose. It's going to happen.

Yes we have been the whipping boy as of late, but good changes are taking place at Bama and we might just start to see a turn around.

Example: Bama beating up on the Vols for a decade straight. Now the Vols have beat up on Bama for a decade straight. Every team will come full circle at varied point in times.

Do you agree?

Well maybe it's our time to start up again, maybe not. Only time will tell.

I have followed Tennessee football since 1953. That makes me one of the geezers and all older Tennessee fans hate bammer more than any team including Notre Dame. I have always liked Auburn (even though they have kicked us hard the last few times we played) because Auburn fans hate bammer. That common thread is enough to make me root for Auburn in all their games except with the Vols. I hope Tn, Auburn, Orgeron's Ogres and everyone else beats Alabama for the next 500 years.
