Butch Jones says we're building something special. I'm starting to believe that.

We're ranked 12. A bunch of good teams in front of us.
But lets put this perspective.
I'll go unrealistically conservative.
We play #9 and #1 in the next 3 weeks. If we beat number 9. and move up to 10.
Then... if we beat number 1 and move from 10 to...7.
Truth be told we would end up higher. But again conservative.

Louisville plays Houston
Clemson Plays Louisville.
Stanford plays Washington.
Ohio State plays Michigan.

When the time comes we just need to be at number 4. Not number 1 but number 4.

If we keep winning. We're going to be right there and maybe even higher.

Would love this but A&M and Bama scare me and I think we lose both of those games.

Don't let them scare you. They should be scared of us.We are the team no one really wants to play.We are a load of a team to deal with.

If they can play the whole game like the 2nd half of Florida then I agree. But if they come out flat and go down by 21 against bama I just don't see a win there.

If we go 11-1 and win the SEC championship game we're a lock for the playoffs. If we go 10-2 and win the SEC championship then there will be some commotion. There will be a lot of shake up next weekend with 3 top 10 games and throughout the season. At this point we control our own destiny. We just need to win.

I would kill to beat Bama. My spouse is a Bama fan. 😭

I never would have imagined that I would ever have a thought like the following:

Would you rather drop the regular season match up to Bama and beat them in the SECCG or vice versa? They will be hard to beat twice. Obviously we want to beat them twice and a third time in the way out there chance we meet them in the National Championship game.

Honestly, I feel like dropping the regular season game and beating them in the seccg would be so much sweeter.

Just think about this week. Who knows what happens after this Saturday.

I'm feeling too confident about beating GA. With the that OL of theirs the TN DL will eat Eason alive. The dawgs D won't be able to stop TN running a simple offense. Chubb is at least hobbled and never really got going this season except for that North Carolina game and that is looking less impressive by the week. GA is in a bad place right now. It the Vols don't play completely stupid this one will be a big orange blowout in Athens.

This is the easy way to estimate our chances. Just win the SEC with 0-2 losses, or lose the SEC w/ 1 loss. Those are the only 4 scenarios that get us in. One caveat, it is still mathematically possible to lose the East and make the playoff w/o making the SECCG. Hopefully, we clear that out this weakend.

Then it will remain to be seen how many losses the other national teams have as compared to us at the end. Best thing to do is win the next one every time and that will fix everything.

This is best team Sumlin has ever coached.

But, team 120 is the best team Butch has ever coached.
That Florida team we beat is much better than people realize. Than I realized. And we handled them when we needed to.

Bama is special this year. Their defense is scoring. Offense is multiple and fast. The wrs are so fast. Run game is solid. NFL defense.

We're gonna need two tries to best them.

We're undefeated and ranked number 7 going into The 3rd Saturday in October. I won't think past that.

I can get behind that. Living in Atlanta I want to dismantle Georgia first! I can't wait for that. They do make me a little nervous. I think after these passed few years I'm very hesitant to look passed any team.

I agree, both games scare me but I think we can go toe to toe with Bama. After seeing that USC wasn't as strong as the media thought and seeing how Ole Miss jumped all over Bama, I think we stand a good chance for the W. Now A&M....... During the early summer I thought this would be a cake walk. Kevin was up to his ears in crap but man has he come out smelling like roses. A&M scares me more than bama, but hey who knows, if we play 4 quarters, don't think anyone in the country can hang with us. (yes I have my orange shades on)

I think if we play four solid quarters then we have a solid chance at Bama.

The 2nd quarter team in Bristol and the 2nd half team last Saturday can beat anyone. The 1st half team can lose to anyone

We just know which team will show up or when.
