This season is what it is...a colossal failure. We can discuss QBs, OCs, DCs, whatever...but the reality is what it is....

So how do you fix it?

1. The first question is whether the current HC can fix it? I see nothing that makes me believe that is possible. I personally think he is the biggest problem.

2. So, how do you go forward? I would fire Pruitt ASAP (after aTm at this point), make Chaney the interim HC and start going to work on a new HC.

Have to get alumni on board with buyout and new coach salary? I would explore new internet funding ideas over the old school methods of hitting up just a few “power” boosters (only causes problems).

3. Get the boosters and/or former players on board like Alabama did when they were tired of losing and hired Saban.

4. Then get the administration on board...this isn’t the Ivy League... Football is important in the SEC!

5. Hire a consultant and say...UT is ready to play ball and is ready to pay Saban-like money for the right coach.

6. At this point, Fulmer might need to be given the opportunity to resign... and I love and respect the he!! out of him. But, if he will play ball, he could be the perfect AD (he just doesn’t have the ability to hire the right HC).

7. Get a proven, successful coach!!!

I realize your point, but surely the past 3-4 coaching searches have shown you differently.

Right now, it's just a pipe dream to believe that UT would and could go after a big name coach and actually pay them.

1. Somehow figure a way to completely oust the Haslams from the university. Or at the very least, figure out a way to keep them far away from athletics.

2. Fire Fulmer and look into hiring either David Blackburn or another competent AD. I was excited when Fulmer came back but that excitement is long gone.

That would be a great start

According to everyone’s “favorite” talk show host Tony Basilio, Vol alum andFox Sports broadcaster Charles Davis now is saying he’d take the AD job even for less money than he currently makes.

None of this is going to happen you're wasting your time. The guy just got an extension less than a month ago. As fans all we can hope for is that Pruitt will grow into a great coach and right the ship starting next season. If anyone believes that he is getting fired you're fooling yourselves.

We’re screwed honestly. We needed Pruitt to at least have a level of success to the point where he could restock the cupboard with talent and not be another continuation of our long line of failed head coaches. Tennessee is a place where careers go to die at this point.

No talented coach with options is coming here at this point. I know Freeze has baggage but so does our dumpster fire of a program. Tennessee better bite the bullet and hire Freeze baggage and all.

Charles might be good, but I’d want to understand his “business” ideas for the job.

This is where a lot of you are wrong. UT HAS the facilities and fan support to be great. Just need to start winning!

Tennessee doesn’t have the administration to be successful. It’s actually quite shocking. Honestly have our coaching hires been worse or our athletic directors?

Butch was in over his head at UT.
Pruitt is in even overer his head.
To coin a phrase.
