Everybody knows how important it was to hire a great coach. That being said Currie showed his inexperience to hire a coach.Somebody had to show some leadership. We where made a laughing stock. If Fulmer for the love of Tennessee stepped up a gave his opinion on process God Bless him.We need to move on we have coach now running the show and I feel better so much better! That's do this the Tennessee way go vols.

This isn’t a fact, it’s someone (who works for the media) saying that another person signed off on this. I’m way more interested in actual facts.

Herbstriet said he talked to Manning and they texted back and forth about Schiano and they did a high five over the phone (were his words I think).

Herbstreit wouldn't lie about that.

Because Herbstreit was being led astray also. It had to look convincing It's not that hard to understand.

You do realize that most of the info on your facts list (Fulmer stuff excluded) is basically just stuff some media guy has said right?

Us in the Gruden thread. The Grudenites as you call us. Their is some truth in that thread if you weed through the bull and know who to take with a grain of salt and who not to.

It's a bunch of BS. It was comedy to see a bunch of delusional people.

Guess what most of us knew it was coming and that's the truth. We didn't know the facts but we knew a **** show was about to start. We were told Sunday just hold on to our seats.

Most of the fan base saw it coming.

By your standard, since you don't seem to trust reporters, these are the facts. UT fired Butch, the process of hiring a coach is a complete disaster and national laughing stock, UT suspended Currie. UT hired Phil. We still don't have a coach and are still a laughing stock.

This is close to what I want. I hate rumors. Just give me facts to judge.

There is so much discussion and speculation about online rumors, which is fine, but I feel like facts are getting overshadowed by rumors.

Facts are: Schiano was Currie’s choice before Gundy, Brohm, and Leach. UT was turned down by many. UT’s searches this past week were very publicly broadcasted. Fulmer graduated, coached, and his lived most of his life for UT football.

These are all truths. Let’s quit judging Peyton, Fulmer, and others based on rumors, as legitimate as they may seem.
Fulmer also played football for Tennessee

Can Herbstreit tell me why if Schiano was so damn great....why is James Franklin the face of Penn State football and not a blue blood JoePa guy?

If Schiano is so great why hasn't he been mentioned in relation to other openings. I haven't seen another program reach out to him to hire him after this. Not mentioned with Florida, A&M, Arkansas, or any other school that I know of. People are blasting UT and their fans but I don't see anyone else interested in hiring him.
