There is so much discussion and speculation about online rumors, which is fine, but I feel like facts are getting overshadowed by rumors.

Facts are: Schiano was Currie’s choice before Gundy, Brohm, and Leach. UT was turned down by many. UT’s searches this past week were very publicly broadcasted. Fulmer graduated, coached, and his lived most of his life for UT football.

These are all truths. Let’s quit judging Peyton, Fulmer, and others based on rumors, as legitimate as they may seem.

If we’re gonna start with facts, you better fix yours. Kirk Herbstreit reported that he and Manning came up with Schiano.

Wish I was up to 100 replies so I could start a thread that makes zero sense
Makes zero sense? Have you seen how many people have called Peyton a traitor or talked about how Fulmer created a mutiny? I want to work with facts, and the fact is that Currie deserved to be fired.

Uh... why would he lie? He said they came up with Schiano during their conversation.

You think he was in the room when Schiano was being discussed? Or, is Herbie getting his information secondhand?

Why would he lie? Seriously? Schiano and Herbie both Ohio State guys. But yeah he wouldnt lie at all.

This isn’t a fact, it’s someone (who works for the media) saying that another person signed off on this. I’m way more interested in actual facts.

Lolol, your great uncle x 100 touched the wounds on his hands. How about you grow up and think for yourself instead of requiring a video of every internal meeting.

Can Herbstreit tell me why if Schiano was so damn great....why is James Franklin the face of Penn State football and not a blue blood JoePa guy?

How would Herbstreet know?

Schiano was the black eye Peyton would take to help push Haslam out. All of us in the Gruden thread knew it was coming last week. We were plainly told there is gonna be a war and Peyton is gonna take a black eye and look like the bad guy but it will all work out for the good in the end and will be forgotten. He played Haslam/Currie like a freaking fiddle and helped set them up with the Schiano disaster by saying yea he would be ok with it. HE HATED THE GUY

Is this a fact? No.
