lendale (smash) white on hope hines nashville talk show tonight taking calls about sat,s ravens matchup.

caller asked about the vols new hire, excerpt from his response:

kiffin is the most motivated/intense want to win coach he has ever meet.said he refuses to lose at anything and his knowledge of the game surprised him.

he felt confident that clk will have the vols on top quicker than most expect and as a recruiter he is relentless and again refuses to be told no.

also said he felt like he was being honest and took time to meet and learn about his family and stayed in touch w/ all during the recruiting process :good!:

he felt like the vols w/ lane and monte will build something very special, even better than what he experianced at usc.gave much praise to cpc and said lane is just a younger version.

well there you guys, good or bad if i hear or read it ill post it........................:salute:

I've heard Lendale make comments before praising Coach Kiffin. I hope he's right.

i may have to come over to the dark side.

just kidding,i am impressed we snatched coach O from the jaws of heII (lsu)

the oc looks solid.

hate we missed on garner (gave ga. a chance to re-offer) rookie error.

next time, show up w/ the contract and check in hand.dont leave until your told no and make him understand you will not be coming back!

thats the way i roll.

dont get carried away yet,we still got a ton of work to do.but at least we can now see the recruiting game plan.

i think we need to find a place for t-martin and al wilson on this staff and teach them how to recruit and coach (they already know how to motivate).

just sends a positive message to players that there is life and maybe coaching after thier playing career is over.both of these guys seem top notch to me.

If this is legit, and i have no reason to suspect it's not, we can only hope the recruits we are after get wind of this.

I have to give you credit, posivol, for posting an opposing viewpoint to the stance you had taken.

football player, yes, i would point to the "off the field" example as reason not to hire Al

The part about Lane not wanting to lose at anything has already come true in the O and Garner situations. Won out on O. Went as far as he could go with Garner. Fact is he looks to be relentless in whatever he is doing.
