Lee Corso signing off Saturday

This Gameday in Columbus Saturday will be Lee Corso's last game. He wanted to end his career where he started. His first ever headgear pick was in 1996 in Columbus. He was no Keith Jackson but has been a part of my college football experience for 30 years. I will miss him. Especially now that ESPN is going to the Frat bro's like Pat McAfee.

An ICON of my era. God Bless! You will be missed!

Haven’t watched Gameday in several years primarily because of McAfee. His schtick is unwatchable for me. If I want to see that mess, I’ll tune in to pro wrestling. But I also can’t take much of Howard or Herbstreit either. Much prefer SEC Nation. (Probably because I prefer the focus on the SEC and nothing on the Big 10.)

Lee Corso turned 90 on August 7, 2025. How many of us will see our 90th birthday? How many of us would be able to dress out for a Game Day appearance at 90? Though I find him likable, you don’t have to like him to respect him. We will inaugurate him into Journalists Over Ninety on Saturday. My regard, JON!

I can stomach them, but regardless of anyone's take on Herbie, I have great respect for how he helped "manage" Corso all these years after his stroke on camera and helped him get through the broadcasts.
