Fulmerites care the rest of us don't give a flip.Get it over with shed the tears and please move on

Damn good advice. Take it.

You should have already learned that asinine blanket statements aren't received well around here.

I posted a story that many wouldn't see otherwise. If you like it, fine. Otherwise, have a little class.

I don't see any point of still bashing Fulmer he's almost gone and the new coach is in. I for one will have different emotions watching the last game with him. If u don't thats fine too, but to keep trash talking the man is very childish..

The with or without class question has a simple answer...

If Vicky is involved greatly...without class.
If Vicky is not involved greatly...with class.

That stinkeye of hers really sinks the class boat.

Standing by your man is one thing...fighting his battles is another.

We have 2 great examples of questionable women at UTK...between VF, and Peterson's wife, we have our fair share of drama.

Personally, I think Vicky Fulmer has been a little too visible at times, but to call her a "questionable woman" is over the line IMO.

I don't have a problem with anything Phil has said. The media has asked him his feelings and he's been honest about it. He's said if felt like a funeral and he's said that he believes he could have gotten things back on track, given more time. The first statement is entirely understandable, and if he didn't believe he could fix the problems, then he shouldn't be a football coach at all.

This has been nothing like the way Johnny Majors left. Johnny openly bashed the university president, Doug Dickey and Fulmer on his way out the door, and he's never stopped since, even when he was coaching his second go-round at Pitt. I haven't heard Fulmer bash anyone, regardless of what his true feelings may be.

I agree - these people are human. It was time for a change but I don't have a problem at all with how Fulmer has handled it.

As for Johnny, I still like him too. More than anything, I feel sorry for him that he cannot let it go. He and his family meant so much to UT.

I guess that can be over the line. However, I think her getting involved as much as she has been can be seen as having a serious character flaw. I feel that her and Phil have made themselves bigger than the University and the football program. They have placed themselves on this pedestal, and it has been swept from under their feet.

I don't know her personally, but I think she comes across as a bitter lady. Especially one quote I heard in that God-awful Hyams interview with her. She was equating her feelings of a loved one losing a job with the rest of the general public. I found that to be a slap in the face to the hardworking people who have lost a job. The soup kitchens are full of people who have lost jobs that don't get a sniff at a 6 million dollar buyout.

Once again, didn't mean a personal attack on VF. But I feel she has made this personal, and made herself to believe that the Fulmer family is greater than Vol Nation as a whole.

Yea, 17 years then your gone might make a wife cry huh? and the players.... I have already argued that a long time ago. Guess you like many others have never been an athlete to know how it feels to lose your coach. Man if you people just knew as much as you think you do about sports. Try playing a sport, and get off the Keyboard.

LMAO, another internet athelete.

I think everybody's fed up with their In-laws. Theres a lot of fights tonight.

What, no good night kiff???

Must be the triptophan.

Or tetrahydroisoquinoline perhaps??

Johnny ran his mouth but the truth is he got back doored by Fulmer. That is why he was bitter.Anyway you cut it Fulmer ain't no angel on this deal.

Pure BS of the first degree!!!

In the first place, considering all the coaches fired by Majors during his last few years, where does he have room to complain about being fired himself??

Secondly, Auburn was about to offer Fulmer their HC position and Dickey offered him the UT HC slot rather than lose him.

Furthermore, one of the reasons we had so much talent on the UT roster at that time was because of the recruiting efforts of Phil rather than that of Johnny.
