I was looking ahead at next years lb core, and I was wondering who would replace Karl at Stongside? maybe move Mayo to the outside again and allow Wilson or Donald to get a look at Mlb. Or is Donald fixed at De. Whats everybody think?

Mayo is staying put at MLB.

I'm willing to bet we see Gerald Williams at DE next year.

Well...that is really where we need the most help. It seems that we are better off at LB than anywhere on the line. Man....can you imagine having Martin and Williams in on certain passing situations??

Chris Donald is a man. He's going to be big time next year.

I think so as well, but there are a few people on here that would disagree with you. Apparently he's too slow to play OLB, and won't play next year unless Mayo moves to the outside. We'll see if people disagree with you though.

This is the most likely:

McCoy = WLB
Mayo = MLB
McKenzie/Wilson/Myers-White = SLB

OR
This is a little less likely:

McCoy = WLB
Wilson = MLB
Mayo = SLB

OR
This is probably a pipe dream:

McCoy = WLB
Williams = MLB
Mayo = SLB

Gerald Williams will probably be a DE

Chavis' love of experience at LB likely means Nevin gets the open starting spot...

Was that sarcasam? Nevin has less experience than Myers-White or Wilson.

I like justin's LB corp of SLB Mayo, MLB Wilson, WLB McCoy. Wilson is really the wild card in my opinion. I think he is the LB that steps in and starts but the question is at what spot. He has been a MLB up until they threw him in a little at SLB when Karl was hurt. Spring practice will probably be when he finally get to see that start to pan out.

Not sarcasm. McKenzie is Karl's backup as of this moment...

Ok, thats true. That is different than experience. Wilson and Myers-White have been at UT longer and played more snaps in their career than Nevin. The reason he was #2 behind Karl is because Wilson is #2 at MLB. I think Nevin plays a lot next year, especially on passing downs. But I have a feeling Wilson is going to be the man. Just my opinion though.

What I honestly feel happens is that Mayo will stay at the MLB spot and Wilson will move to the outside.

On obvious passing downs, Mayo goes to DE and Wilson goes to MLB and McKenzie comes off the edge on the blitz.

Yeah not saying Mayo isnt better on the outside just worried we dont have anyone to fill his void if we move him. Nevin and Elix and Meyeres White can do descent enough job on the outside. None of this really matters if the front 4 doesnt get better though we were horrible there last year.

I felt that we saw a lot of improvement there as Dan Williams and Bolden gelled.
