for having relations with an underage prostitute? That'd be a bit of an overly harsh punishment in that case man

Oh, a prostitute? I just heard through word of mouth that it was a 16 year old. Didn't know there was some sick SOB peddling 16 year old prostitutes

so I'm watching Sportscenter this morning and his lawyer is in front of a mic saying, LT "Did not have sex last night"......

then, they continue the story and claim that LT was questioned by the police and admitted having sex initially.

LT has been called many things, but never very intelligent

I think I have seen him do a series of commercials for different products, both local and nationally. One of which is the nutrisystem diet plan. How much money he has, if any? Who knows....

Yeah. The thread title and 1st page is a bit misleading.

But yeah, pretty much its he got caught with a prostitute and turns out she's 16, so by law the age automatically makes it rape (stagetory? Also sp?)

This is going to be settled out of court and the charges will be dropped. That is almost guaranteed. He will pay her off.

How can buying a prostitute be settled out of court? That act is just plain against the law

Someone needs to edit or clear up the front page on this thread

It's not rape b/c he took her and forced himself upon her, it's rape b/c - after he was caught with this prostitute - it was found out that she was only 16 (younger than the legal age of consent in New York, which is 17) so irregardless, it's by law considered rape since she was too young

there's a strong bit of a difference

Yes...the headlines have made this seem worse than it was. Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning the actions, but seeing "LT charged with rapping minor" carries a very different image than what appears to actually have happened.

Gotta love some of his lines from a interview

"I'm not the cause of prostitution. And sometimes I make mistakes and I may go out there. And I didn't go pick her up on no playground. She wasn't hiding behind the school bus or getting off a school bus. This is a working girl that came to my room."
Taylor blamed the institution of prostitution for the fact that he ended up with an underage girl.

"It's the world of prostitution," he said during the Fox News interview. "You never know what you're gonna get. Is it gonna be a pretty girl, an ugly girl or whatever it's gonna be."

Or a young girl? Smith asked.

"You can only ask," Taylor said. "I don't card them. I don't ask for a birth certificate."

LT dances around an interesting point about the "world of prostitution". If it were legal and in the public eye then the cons of the black market wouldn't exist (child prostitution, pimps abusing their women, scantily clad women walking the streets, etc.).

"It's all clean. I don't have to worry about your feelings. It's all clean."

But does he have to worry about her feelings?

After he gives her aids that is...
