What's the meaning of the number? If a person put $1,000 on a team, what happens if the natty manifested?

That’s based on a $100 bet. So a $1000 bet on the Vols to win the basketball tournament would pay $80 grand.

Actually that would be considered a good value bet. Doesnt mean it wiould pay off but odds like that on a coach with 850 wins and one of the best players in the country are very attractive.

No idea. I never bet. And to those who lose everything doing it? I have zero sympathy.

Well I might buy them a loaf of bread so they can make sandwiches. If you have not figured out what kind? Oh well.

Thanks for the post. Very interesting. Also, the name "tOSU" which you probably just copy/pasted is ridiculous and pretentious. I know its not your fault though. Just about every University in the nation is "THE university of so and so". We are the University of Tennessee. Will never see us as "tUT" though. What an unbearable fanbase. Miami tried the same stupid "THE" BS a long time ago as well. Both teams and fanbases are obnoxious.
