They call it a “mock” draft because they’re mocking anyone silly enough to read into this guess.

Lots of reasons things can change.

Lottery becomes finalized. (A team like the Grizzlies will take a lead guard at 6 but will likely take a wing at 9)

Accurate measurements and testing (How does Wagler, Flemings, Brown measure up). Id expect Ament will test better than these guys.

Long teams continuing to outperform in playoffs. Copycat league.

Injuries (Yaxel, Brown). Does a player have bad medicals?

Does a guy have off court issues?

It is painfully obvious that he needs to get much much stronger. He will be useless in the NBA until he does. I hope he makes it but at this point I've seen so many go for the bag and then wind up in G-League or Europe.

Honestly, this is kind of a generational draft with how deep the talent is in the top 10. Currently watching Risacher stink up the joint and it's hard to believe that he was the #1 pick in the 2024 draft. Ament is a much more intriguing prospect in comparison.
