Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

After The New York Times published an article about the use of ivermectin to combat COVID-19, claiming that 70% of recent calls to the Mississippi poison control center were related to ivermectin, they were corrected by an investigative journalist who pointed out that the real figure was 2%, not 70%.

Child abuse?🤔

What’s really dumb about this is how many times did that woman have to get up in the kids face to mess with the mask. If the child is a true threat (or the teacher is) you’re needlessly exposing both to the other. It’s like those videos of people confronting maskless people at stores. If they’re true lepers why are you getting three feet from them to start a yelling match?

Not that we didn’t know it already, but interesting article/studies that explain why obesity is such an issue for those infected with Covid. Vaccine or not, Dr’s and the media (television and print) need to be pounding on this if they truly want to save people. Losing weight is the simplest thing anyone can do to limit their severity and improve their outcomes and the benefits beyond Covid mitigation are a hundred-fold.

Instead, I walk into Target and see marketing of fat women in athletic clothes telling them to be proud of their bodies.

It’s like the meme above of a 400 lbs man with a mask. The media has told us one thing in that picture will save us while the other is of no consequence; when it’s 100% the opposite.

Thanks Joe!

Covid-19 Rapid Testing in U.S. Lags Behind Other Countries in Delta Wave

“The U.S. government wouldn’t have let the supply of vaccines run out if it could be avoided, and they shouldn’t have let the supply of rapid tests run out either,” said Zoë McLaren, a health economist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. “It’s emblematic of the U.S.’s approach to testing the entire pandemic—laissez faire.”

The White House referred questions to the Department of Health and Human Services, which didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Do we really believe less than a third of our country is overweight?

The impact extends to the 32% of people in the United States who are overweight.

I really question that stat
